You have to take full doses of vaccines; don't scrub or massage the area of bite ---when you are taking bath or applying shampoo or oil.---this may help any virus in the tissue locally to get into local nerve endings and pass to brain ------- hope you had taken antirabies serum ,if it was indicated as per the doctor who treated you.

You have not mentioned about -whether you have taken anti rabies immunization after gog bite.------- if not -(though you are little late)-please start it under a doctor's supervision at the earliest. Burning sensation & pain at site of bite after some days -are reported in some cases of animal bite. Rabies is practically a disease with 100 % mortality --hence --dog is still alive--is not a reason for avoiding immunization.
