I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
Generally speaking, it takes around two or three weeks before a small amount of regrowth can be seen, usually a soft 'fuzz' over the head. After one month, hair starts to grow at its normal rate and looks more like 'real' hair. At two months, you can expect to see around an inch of hair.

Hi, I am a male, age 29, six months before, I was diagnosed hypothyroid. Initially my tsh was around 12, doctor started therapy with 12. 5 mcg thyronorm, slowly he increased the dosage to bring tsh back to normal. Now I am on 37. 5 mcg dose with tsh 3.8.using this dose from last 2 months, I am exercising daily, all my hypothyroid symptoms getting better, I am losing half kg every month, before treatment I was overweighted. My lipid profile is also getting better, but my heart is pounding, racing all day, especially after eating, and feeling anxious, is this the side effect of levothyroxine? How much it will take get adjusted for this dose? Should I use any other medication to combat anxiety, heart palpitations? please help me with this problem. I do not believe in homeopathy system of medicine.

Dear lybrate-user,
I note that your hypothyroidism is under good control on 37.5 ug thyronorm. Please continue the same dose. I am glad that you are reducing weight with diet and exercise.
Regarding your palpitation, this can occur if your dose is too much but from your test reports it appears that your dose is ok.
I suggest that you consult me online so that we can come to a clear diagnosis and then proceed. If you send your email id I will send you a proforma to fill up your smptom...more

Dear lybrate-user,
you must understand that if your thyroid functions are under good control with thyrox 100 ug, your weight issue is a different problem. As you are only 38, it is important for you to get your weight down to about 62-65 kg if your height is about 5'5"
you can try a paleo diet (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian paleo diet plans are available on the net). You must combine this with regular active exercise like skipping or brisk walking for about an hour per day. Monitor ...more

I am sorry to hear about your concern but will be happy to assist you.
It can be the result of heredity, hormonal changes, medical conditions or a normal part of aging. Anyone can lose hair on their head, but it's more common in men. Baldness typically refers to excessive hair loss from your scalp. Hereditary hair loss with age is the most common cause of baldness.

Hello,Thanks for the query.
When one is on adequate dosage of Levothyroxine, then TSH is well controlled and maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. At that level all the symptoms related to hypothyroidism are well controlled. So unless there is a mention of TSH level, it is difficult to answer your query. Another aspect to be remembered is to check TSH after 6 weeks of regular therapy to see if desired level of TSH is achieved. Thanks.
