Dear user avoid fried foods sweets, pkgd foods, colas, juices, ice creams use skim milk n its products if non vegetarian den stick to chicken n fish, avoid red meats use of whole grains n pulses will help you in keeping sugar levels in control root veggies like aloo should be taken in moderation minimize use of fat, use refined oil go for exercise or walk daily try various types of veggies in salad form. Fasting n feasting should be avoided.

Mr. Lybrate-user kumar, first and foremost is to control blood sugar effectively. Fasting should be closer to 100 mg, pp 150 to 160 mg and hba1c% 6.8.
Then exercise regularly, reduce deep fried foods, take low fat milk products, avoid organ meats, red meat, fishes can be a good choice. Take low fat milk, more of curds and butter milk. Take fiber rich creals. This will help in reducing bilirubin levels. Plus refrain from alcohol completely.

Hello, Diabetes can be kept in good control by following means: 1) Taking appropriate medication as advised and without missing a dose. 2) Taking a restricted diet, that gives exact calories based on ideal body weight, extent of daily exercise. 3) Avoiding sweets, junk foods, deep fried foods, pastries and bakery items, sweetened aerated drinks (colas), fructose corn syrup containing products 4) Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits (100 g a day).
