The quantity restriction is a general rule even for a normal person. Overeating something is not a wise thing. One should think of a balanced diet (so that all types of essential nutrients are supplied to the body ). Kindly read about balanced diet (from the internet) so that the concept is clear. Thanks for your query. 1 Avoid simple sugars means the things which are sweet in taste are to totally avoided.
2 Take 4-6 meals instead of 2 meals.
3 Never take refind & tined food.
4 Your dinner is to be lighter than breakfast and lunch.
5 Go for exercise after 1 hour of taking the meal.

A person with diabetes and hypertension, should always maintain a good blood glucose control. Ideally fasting glucose should be < 100 mg, PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% <6.8. Plus BP should be maintained around 120 to 130 / 70 to 80 mm Hg. 1. Kindly have small frequent meals at 2-3 hrs intervals
2. Avoid feasting & fasting
3. Exercise daily but not on empty stomach
4. Be physically active all the time
