In severe and uncontrolled diabetes only modern medicine, diet control and weight control can help. Sinnce he is bed ridden, it is better to approach a hospital for treatment. For opinion on Siddha medicine please ask an expert. I have no idea nor any belief on it. Thanks.

You should not forget that ot contains sugar. When you extract juice you have to use 3-4 pomegranates for getting a glass of juice but if you want to eat it as fruit use 1/2-1 per day and avoid other fruits on that day.

In diabetes usual advice is to take small and frequent meals so that there is no excess glucose rise. This helps available Insulin to act better. If one can manage it in that manner hen it is really very good. Most important is to achieve strict glucose control with fasting glucose < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8.
