Hello
as you have mentioned you have problem while eating hard food there can be many reasons for this. The most common reason is pyorrhoea or periodontitis. Rampant caries progresses at a faster rate in children and it involves multiple teeth. It’s also called nursing bottle caries as the decay spreads due to feeding milk during the night & putting the baby or children to sleep without brushing. Hence early diagnosis and initiation of preventive and restorative therapies are imperative in its management. Rampant caries can affect the early permanent dentition if the child has improper dietary habits and poor oral hygiene maintenance.

Hello Lybrate user. The dental cavity will cause pain and discomfort, even radiate to ears and cheek and jawline. It won't interfere with the arms and hands. I advice you to consult a general physician as soon as possible regarding this. Thank you. Have a nice day.
