Dear Lybrate user,
the treatment options are 1. Operculectomy
2. Extraction of wisdom tooth
first one is less time-taking you may consult in person for getting an opg xray done and getting the right recommendation

That seems to be normal. Wisdom teeth are more in bone than other teeth. So wound after removal of wisdom tooth is always greater than other teeth. You may require painkiller for 2-3 days more. Continue rinsing your mouth with warm salt water every 4-5 hours a day to keep the wound clean. Take B complex and Vitamin C capsule or tablet to help healing fast. Hope the condition improves within 2-3 days.

dry socket is quite common after extraction , especially wisdom tooth as they are more complex and often have less space.
this dressing will help with pain and healing
all you have to do is take warm salt water rinses gently 3 to 4 times a day and keep the extraction site clean.

Hello dear, wisdom teeth usualy erupts by 21 years age, if its not fully erupted by then, means your jaw is not having adequate space for the wisdom tooth to erupt fully, in such cases get it removed surgically, otherwise this pain can continue its naure.
