Mr. Lybrate-user, it is good avoid alcohol totally in diabetes. Because it gives empty calories, can create unawareness of hypoglycemia. Plus not good for liver. So my advise to every patient is to avoid alcohol totally. But ultimately choice is of the patient. Further alcohol content in beer differs from 4.2 to 8.5% depending upon the type, so fixing a quantity is also not possible. Thanks.

-You can drink tea 2-3 cups a day whenever you want
-have green tea as it is beneficial to the body since it has antioxidents & other nutrients including caffeine which have a stimulating effect on the brain
-have sufficient water 7-8 glasses per day to keep well hydrated.

You can drink water during and after or before drinking . you can run after drinking water .in a small amount to avoid discomfort

You cannot drink alcohol when you are taking zaptra 12.5 . One beer may not harm you anyway and do so at your own risk

Yes if you are taking full cream milk then definitely it will gain weight if you want to take milk daily continue with skim (double tonned milk) with crushed almonds (5-7) without sugar in morning.

drink 3-4 litre of water daily, isabgol in a glass of water at night, if required get u/s whole abdomen done and back with report it will help. thanks you will not require any thing then water.
