I am 45 years old and have asthma (hereditary) for last 30-35 years. Also suffering from eczema for last 10 years. I tried various photos for eczema but no success. Two years before when I gave up consumption of milk there was some improvement in eczema to some extent, can say up 25-30%. And 1 year before I switched over from wheat to sorghum (jowar) and after 2-3 months my problem of eczema alleviated up to 50%. But I could hardly succeed to control my asthma. On the contrary it was worsening day by day. No exercise or yoga was helping me in my asthma problem. It was not fully satisfactory result for me. But some 2 months before when gave up rice also and switched over to totally gluten free diet i.e. Only millet consumption i.e. Kodo millet, foxtail millet, little millet, sorghum, my problem of eczema started to alleviate rapidly. Now after 2 months I am nearly 98 percent eczema free. But in this 2 months period also I could hardly control over my chronic asthma problem. On the contrary it aggravated. Mucus in chest made very difficult for me to breathe. Steroids, antihistamine prescribed by doctor was giving me only temporary relief. It was very despairing situation for me. But 5 days before I started to consume pearl millet (bajra) in place of sorghum (jowar) which is good for asthma. Now I have get some relief from my asthma problem. I am writing to you because whatever diet I am taking is not prescribed by any doctor or any dietician. It is totally a research by layman. I would be very grateful for any guidance in my diet taking into consideration my problems of asthma and eczema.

Heart flutters are related only to hyperthyroidism and not to gastric problems. It is very important to treat underlying hyperthyroidism as, left untreated, it will cause a variety of health problems. If even after treating hyperthyroidism, your heart problem doesn't resolve - it needs to be treated as well; otherwise the condition can deteriorate. It is important to get an ECG done to identify the exact nature of heart problem. If needed, you can have an online consult regarding the same.

For acne, first and foremost it is essential that you clean your face regularly with soap and water - any regular soap will do, however soaps with higher glycerin content will help prevent the skin from drying out. As for the problem with dandruff, you need to use shampoo at least on an weekly basis. In case of severe acne, there are short course oral tablets and prescription creams that can be used to resolve the problem quickly. You can have an online consult with me to discuss your problems f...more

Hello, thanks for the query.
The dever and other symptoms that one gets after taking covid vaccine are quite common you can take fever reducing tablets which usually are given after the vaccination. As regards the levothyroxine dosage, that should be taken as usual. There is no change. Thanks.

I am sorry to hear about what you are going through. Most probably you might be having metabolic syndrome which is associated with a higher risk of heart disease and blood sugar issues. A good obesity management clinic can help you. There could be reasons why you are overweight. With a few blood tests we can know if you have got any hormonal causes for weight loss. A good diet which will suit you with an appropriate excercise plan will help you lose weight. Remember losing weight is not easy, bu...more

Hope your plasma treatment is helping. Other two medications you r taking is mainly pain killers. You can gradually stop those and see how effective is plasma treatment. As it’s new modality, it’s still under trails. No significant good results to everyone.
If it doesn’t work, probably needs knee replacement surgery. Best wishes.

Mr Vijay Kumar, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details written. Please tell me what is the current TSH level now and what was it when hypothyroidism was detected? Because your free T4 is quite high. It means there an excess of Thyroxine (probably due to excess dosage of Levothyroxine). Because in hypothyroidism heart rate is slower than normal and there is no palpitation. So please check total thyroid functions and come back, preferably in a private conversation, where I can prescribe...more

Depending on how severe your acne is, you will need to opt for creams and short course oral medicines to treat your condition. Skin has an amazing power of self-nourishment and regeneration, so things regarding skin turning dull - have no basis at all. It's best to avoid scrubbing the whiteheads when they appear as there is an increased chance of scarring. Clean your face regularly with regular soap - nothing fancy is necessary. Soaps slightly on an alkaline side are more efficient in removing o...more
