No. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with a mouth wash. Do not fidget with tongue or finger. Maintain oral hygiene for better healing. Dental tips: - limit sugary food. Scrub gently to clean your tongue with a tongue cleaner. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush.

Do rinses with tolerable hot water with 1/4th teaspoon of salt in it about 7-8 times a day. Apply rexidin m on the affected gum area 3 times a day for a week. If it does subside then visit dentist near by. Hope it helps.

It is difficult for us to tell what it is, that blue color might be metal showing through your crown. I would suggest you to visit your dentist and confirm. If it is metal it doesn't harm.

Dear tarika, warm saline gargle 3 or 4 times a day after meal is enough, it's anti bacterial in action. If the swelling is causing pain or fever it's better to visit a dentist first.
