Hello lybrate-user, I suggest you to go for ortho treatment (i. E braces as quoted by you) because as you mentioned you have got crowding which is one of the cause of tartar or calculus buildup and if you follow proper dental hygiene instructions you won't av to worry about the build up during and after the treatment. The braces will help you both asthetically and hygienically.

Hello Lybrate user, in case of crowded teeth, it is difficult to brush which results in more tartar deposition compared to well alligned teeth. Deposited tartar or plaque gradually results in inflammation of gums i.e gingivitis. Yes allignment of teeth with the help of braces will make those teeth easily cleansable with the brush and less chances of inflammation.

There is some thing called as invisiliners. The results and outcome may not be as great as you can achive with traditional braces. Other option which is is with veneers and crowns, crowiding can be rectified but again there as many factors that has to be taken in consideration like degree of crowding etc. Visit your dentist so that he can help you out.
