Hey,
Cirrhosis is a irreversible condition where the liver cells get destroyed and are replaced by scar tissue and ultimately compromising the liver functions like protein synthesis, caogulations factor synthesis, detoxification. Basically, as a supportive measure you need to supplement her with protein supplements, antibiotics,laxatives. Liver transplant is the only option.

There is no hereditary cause for cirrhosis but yes there are few causes of liver disease which are familial and must be evaluated prior to reaching the stage of cirrhosis.
