Your lungs can be very badly affected by smoking.
Coughs, colds, wheezing and asthma are just the start.
Smoking can cause fatal diseases such as pneumonia, emphysema and lung cancer.
Smoking causes 84% of deaths from lung cancer and 83% of deaths from chronic obstructive lung disease, including bronchitis.
To leave that habit: sauna bath for 5 days which helps you to drain out nicotine from the sweat produced over skin. This will reduce your craving for smoking. Then revert me ...more

In combination they can trigger off cirrhosis of the liver. Each has a lot of dangerous effects if taken alone too and that list is too much to write here. The combination is really very harmful. I advise you particularly to give up smoking and drink in moderation, if you can do so. Otherwise give it up immediately.

Dear lybrate-user,
it is a very motivating and good thing that you have reduced your smoking habit. But one cigarette would cause as much harm as smoking 9. Because it still causes major problem to your heart, lungs and increases the risk for all type of cancers. You have already proved its not impossible to reduce the amount just try modifying and leaving. Adapt more healthy habits and start gum therapy. I hope it would help you.
Thanks
neha parashar.
