It can be some subclinical infection when you do get general symptoms. So you are not aware of this and is diagnosed when tests are done for some other reasons.

dense hilum shows many possibilities bt exact what u suffer is tell after xray and ur problem feel acc to that.
may be it simply calcification or may be it is related to malignancy like cancer. this condition is serious or not not says by only this. better to consult properly.

Where exactly is the pain. What are other symptoms like cold or cough or breathlessness or gas etc. How is his appetite. Any relation of pain with meals or exertion. I need details of case. Do this
