1. Drink plenty of water and other fluids
2. High fibre diet (green leafy vegetables)
3. Sitz bath - take a tub of warm water, add two spoons of salt and sit in that water in such a way that the anal area gets submerged. Do this at least twice daily.

Respected lybrate-user hi it seems fissure problem. Avoid hard stools avoid oily spicy nonveg stuffs. Have more liquids green leafy veg fiber content fruits curd for better digestion. Apply xylocaine (5) jelly over anal part after passing stool & sitz bath (sitting in a tub filled with leuk warm water for 10-10 min mor & eve). Take isabgul powder 3 teaspoonful at night with glass of leuk warm water for 5 days. Do follow up consulting after doing this. Thanks regards.

Hi lybrate user, I believe you had been given either transforaminal epidural (nerve block) or caudal epidural for disc herniation. Nerve block reduces the inflammation caused by inflammatory chemicals from disc material but it doesn't reduce the disc size or repair it.
