Vaginal cysts are closed packets of fluid, air or pus which develop along the vaginal lining. Vaginal cysts are of many types, and they are usually caused by accumulation of fluids, childbirth-related injuries or non-malignant tumors in the vagina. Usually these cysts do not yield many symptoms, but may cause a little discomfort.
Treatment might not be needed in case of cysts which are tiny. However, larger cysts would definitely warrant medical attention.

Hello,
generally there are chances of recurrence of cyst at minimal level post surgery. It may occur in 15% of people who underwent surgery for bartholin cyst. However, there is nothing to panic about it and there is nothing to do with masturbation. You may lead your normal life. In case if you feel so much discomfort and pain, you may consult your doctor for a follow up.
Thanks and regards.

You have to get thyroid incontrol as it is high now. Some Bartholin gland cysts go away without treatment. You can take a nonprescription pain medicine such as ibuprofen (Advil or Motrin, for example) to relieve pain. To help healing, soak the area in a shallow, warm bath, or a sitz bath. Don't have sex while a Bartholin cyst is healing.
If the cyst is infected, it may break open and start to heal on its own after 3 to 4 days. But if the cyst is painful, your doctor may drain it. You may als...more
