Herniated disc
1. Spinal decompression
how it helps – spinal decompression should be the very first thing you do to treat a herniated or bulging disc because it essentially creates space between your vertebrae, and thus takes pressure off the discs.
How to do it
– use a bar or the top of a door (or anything you can hang from) and allow your body to “just hang”.
– hang for 30 seconds and do 3 sets.
– release very slowly from this so as not to cause any spasms.

If you have back pain, first of all check your weight and your hemoglobin levels, as anemia always leads to the symptoms of being tired and also having leg pain though there are no issues with the knee joint or back pain. If you have extreme pain in the lower back and gluteal muscles then you need to rule out if there is any sciatic nerve compression, if it is due to that then you n...more

lybrate-user, looks like you've got "mechnical back pain" this occurs due to several reasons -
1. Malalignment of the spine & the intervertebral joints.
2. Weak supportive muscles around the spine.
3. Sudden trauma to the spine
4. Excessive muscle tightness, etc.
All these are issues that can be resolved with proper back care, posture correction and realignment, core stability exercises and stretching of tight muscles. It would be helpful if you can have an audio/video consul...more

Upper back pain
pushups
this one may seem basic, but there’s no denying that pushups are one of the best ways to strengthen the pectoral muscles. These can be done on the knees or toes. If you’re not ready for full pushups, start with your hands resting on a solid surface higher than your feet — like a very sturdy coffee table or the edge of a couch, cushions removed, that’s pressed up against a wall — and start on the toes.

Bend your knees so that your feet are flat on the surface. Imagine that you are gently lifting up the base of your spine towards the ceiling and slowly tilt your pelvis backwards. As you do this you should draw your back down to the floor. Aim to hold this for 20 seconds and repeat 5 times.
