This is a progressive disorder. Please let me know which particular joints are involved and then specific advise for each joint can be given as how to prevent the progression. There are certain drugs which do help in reducing the degenerative process.

Regards Lybrate user. I empathize your concern. One needs to understand about osteoarthritis to better be able to manage the disorder. Osteoarthritis refers to degeneration or wear and tear of the joint's cartilage (cushion system that is present over the bone). One needs to remember that this disorder, does not occur in few days. Eat food in calories deficit balancing your macros and micros, cut your sugar intake, avoid fried food, avoid refined food add whole grain food to your diet, add beans, legumes, more of fruits and green vegetables to your diet, replace white rice to brown rice, drink detox water, increase your water intake.

Hi lybrate-user, the osteoarthritis is an age related degenerative changes. Medicine or oil application will not help them. Regular exercises are required to prevent further degeneration and keep the muscle strong to do her daily routine. I would like you to consult a physiotherapist nearby or you can consult us online, we can help you with proper guidance of exercises which will be permanent remedy for her.

Hello . If your overall weight is more according to your height , then you have to reduce your weight by taking care of your diet . do chest exercises , like chest press . maintain a healthy lifestyle.
