I had breast cancer on my right side in 2015 and had operation. I have then been receiving regular checks in public hospital and everything is normal. I had a mammogram yesterday and report says: scattered punctuate microcalcifications are noted in both breasts. No malignant criteria are noted. No dominant opacity is seen in either breast. No retraction of nipple or skin thickening is noted. One slightly prominent lymph node is noted in the left axilla. No axillary adenopathy is noted on the right side. While the report says that no malignant criteria are noted, I am very much worrying about the “slightly prominent lymph node” in the left axilla. I don't know whether it is abnormal and a cause for concern. As I still need to wait for a few months before my regular appointment with the public hospital, I am very stressful and I would like to seek your professional advice on this. Thank you very much.

You must get the breast nodule checked fast, do not wait till tb treatment is completed mammography, fnac from lump needs to be done. You can consult a surgeon or an oncologist.

Report me like hai-" Both breast show abnormal proliferation of fibro glandular components with heterogeneous, coarse and echogenic parenchyma. Both breasts show thickenings of fibroglandular layers. Main factor is your age n family history of same. U should write first age when ever you question to a doctor.
Any how it seems you r younger or middle aged. Do FNAC OF lesion n usg both breast. Then consult me. Do not worry. Its maximum possibility is benign lesion. Fibroadenoma n axillary breast or lipoma. Thanks.

Take 2 ice cubes and massage them in circular motions around each of your breasts for 1 minute only. Dry the breasts with a soft towel and immediately put on a proper fitting bra. Stay in a reclining position for 30 minutes. Do this at regular intervals throughout the day.

A21×7 sized and 18×6mmsized lymph node seen in right and left axilla respectively with fatty hilum likely reactive. My age is 22 yrs and I am female. My mother had cancer in her right breast in april may of the year 2009. My gynecologist suugested me after seeing the ultrasound report to go for needle test as my mother is having. But I dont want what should I do please tell me by seeing the ultrasound report. I have ultrasond of my breast and report is- my righy breast showsa well defined hypoechoic sol of16x10mm at 11'o' clock in periareolar region of upper outer quadrent and a small subcm cyst at 1'o' clock. There is no e/o ductal ectasia. No e/o puckering or adhesion to overlying skin and soft tissue-underlying muscle plane are also well preserved. Axilla: few subcm axillary lymph nodes with preserved hila noted in right axilla. Impression: high resolution sonography of both breast reveal features s/o fibroadenoma and simple cyst in right breast-adv fnac corelation. Am I having cancer or not wether I should go for needle test please reply me.

USG Breast: Normal fat globules and fibroglandular component, No mass, cyst/ calcification seen. Retromamary areas are normal, Nipple and retroareolar areas are normal, Normal Vascularity. Well defined hypo echoic lesion measuring 138 mm is noted in the right inner lower quadrant at 5 o'clock position of right breast, Left axillary lymph node measuring 76 mm noted with retained fatty hilum. Impression: Well defined hypoechoic lesion in the right inner lower quadrant at 5 o'clock position of right breast - fibroadenoma (BIRADS category III Lesion) Q. This is my USG report of my Breast, so can you kindly inform me do I need to do surgery for that or I can go for a course of medicine?

Fibroadenoma needs surgery to be removed and medicines cannot cure it. If it is not giving you any trouble , you can leave it for some time

The various symptoms of breast cancer are
1) lump in the breast
2) nipple discharge, especially blood stained
3) Nipple inversion, retraction or ulceration
4) skin dimpling, edema or redness
5) Axillary lump (nodes)
6) rarely it may present with pain
7 sometimes metastasis may be the first sign of the cancer

Lybrate-user, not to worry. Surgery is required. Excision for the breast fibroadenoma is required. Also biopsy of the axillary lymph node is better as it is approx. 1.7 cms, to be on the safer side.
