The link between poor oral hygiene and heart disease is limited to the fact that a person with po...more

Hi lybrate-user
The details you have provided seem to indicate somewhat advanced gum disease. Whether the affected teeth can be preserved or not can only be assessed with a clinical assessment supplemented with radiographs. If you have consulted a dentist and extractions have been advised, there is reason to believe that they would have done so after due condsideration. Hello lybrate-user. Both implant and bridge will have life only as long as your bone and underlying tissues (periodontium) is maintained in good condition. Its similar to how ever big or small you build your house if the foundation is not strong it will fall down. But technically speaking implants are the next best to your original tooth compared to bridge. But both has pros and cons .consult a good dentist nearby.

Dear lybrate user, space left empty by removing a tooth is not good because it leads to bone loss in that area. Also, the neighboring teeth and the teeth in the opposing arch also begin to show slight movement towards the empty space which disturbs the normal relation between upper and lower teeth. You are still at a growing age. Don't think of extracting your tooth and leaving the gap empty.
