Hi from last 5 months for every 40 days I am getting moderate stomach pain at some point of time it get worse and getting little bit decreased with the help of my doctor I take pan D and ketrol pain killer and my pain was gone immediately and again after 40 days its starts coming I go for an ultrasound but reports are normal and I said the problem to my doctor he is telling that you had appendicitis is enlarged or swollen and prescribed Mr. antibiotic for seven days. My question was as per my knowledge if I get appetite I have to go for an medical emergency and immediate surgery is required but my doctor prescribed me medicines can you please answer my question if it is appendicitis or not. If it is appendicitis the pain will decreased with single ketrol painkiller can you please help and explain me in a very detailed manner about my problem can you please help me. Thanks.

Please It is slightly raised Don't worry Avoid oily spicy and fast food, processed food, maida containing items like biscuits toast bread khari etc for 4 weeks Take home made fresh food containing less spices and oil for 4 weeks Take Kumariasav 20 ml twice daily with water for 6 wks Re check sgpt after 4 wks.

Thank you for the query. Endoscopy checks the oesophagus, stomach and the first part of the small intestine (duodenum). USG may sometimes detect acute appendicitis, but not always. Appendicitis is usually a clinical diagnosis (right lower abdominal pain, fever, vomiting). If imaging is needed, CT scan is a better modality. Sometimes colonoscopy may be done, to rule out any lesion in the terminal ileum.

appendicitis is typically treated with iv antibiotics and surgery after 4-6 wk interval. removal of appendix is a major surgery . you will not feel any pain because of general anaesthesia during surgery. you can treat appendicitis with antibiotics before going for definitive cure by surgery.
