The approximate daily dose of vit. D for children between is 600 i.u. Since vit d is fat soluble vitamin and gets stored in body. Proper dosage is to be decided by child specialist after proper examination. Normally children are given vit d in the form of oral drops. Sachets of 60,000 iu are given in adults after finding vit d levels in the blood. And only if found necessary.
