Recovery from a psychiatric illness varies. It may take 2-8 weeks to achieve a significant amount of improvement in symptoms. To see the effects of a particular antidepressant, atleast 2-4 weeks may be required. In this particular case, the doses may be increased further to look for improvement. If there is no improvement even after that, then there would a need to change the antidepressant or try another treatment modality.

Dear Aastha,
You need adjustment of dose of stalopam. Please follow up with your doctor at the earliest. Your symptoms are more of depression than of anxiety. So you can stop etizolam, if you wish. The doctor may increase the dose, or change the antidepressant or add another tablet/therapy.

Have regular meals and keep yourself hydrated. It might seem not important but sometimes being in a rush for deadline will cause you to forget your meals and making you irritated, nervous or anxious. When you feel irritable or anxious, check the time. It might be just your low blood sugar and your body needs to feed. Being dehydrated also can cause migraine. So keep a water bottle by your side and take a sip regularly. It is also a good way to take a break. (See also: Foods for Anxiety and Stres...more

Hi, it's great that you are determined to work on your mental health issues. Psychotherapy along with medication, definitely helps and speeds up the process.
There are many therapists who are providing online sessions these days. Even I do and you may choose to contact me. Sorry for your past experience. You might do some trial and error before you match up with a competent therapist of your choice. Don't loose faith in therapy then, just search more because good therapy do wonders.
