Hello Lybrate user
medicine is not the only solution, you have to take therapy sessions as well with psychologist. As you said you have been taking medicines since long. Anxiety and depression are the result of stress of some past experience. Cognitive behavioral therapy is very helpful for this condition. Cbt addresses the here and now, and focuses less on the past. For some conditions in some people, other forms of psychotherapy are equally or even more effective. The key is that there is ...more

I really wonder why are you on so many medication for a single problem. If you are having only depression, then you should be on one medication but in good doses.

Hi lybrate-user
I assume you’re in a lot of distress right now. During such a time it’s very important to have someone to talk to. I strongly suggest you either contact a psychiatrist near you or online. Only after discussing things with you can they be resolved effectively. From your description it’s not clean when the medications have been started either. Prodep is a safe medication you can continue it
hope this helps

If you have visited a psychiatrist and they have prescribed these medications you should have belief in the doctor. They have the best in mind for you and your loved one. If you have questions regarding treatment you can talk to the psychiatrist who prescribed the medication. I hope this helps. Take care and I hope your mother gets well soon.

I'm on medication currently for anxiety and depression i'm taking etilaam 0.25 and depranex-10 along with richer cr for iron deficiency. I want to know that someday i'm fully ok and sometimes I don't know why I feel anxious like if I go outside after taking etilaam then a falling or sinking type of sensation happens suddenly and after the medication gets completely mixed into my bloodstream I start to feel calm. Couldn't getting it thoroughly why is it happening so also because my whole body blood report tests are also totally normal beside iron and vitamin d deficiency. I've also spoke to my psychiatrist about this she told me to relax .and also advised to cut down slowly my etilaam pills by reducing 25% after 10 days. But then also this sudden bad feeling bothers me .is it normal doctors and how long it'd take me to get fully recovered from it.

Hi lybrate-user,
you need to discuss with your psychiatrist to further optimize your classic anti-anxiety or antidepressant drugs (escitalopram dose can be further build up to 20 mg per day and if needed another medicine can be added to augment effect of escitalopram) before tapering off and stopping etizolam. It's happening because your anxiety and depression is not yet completely remitted. Whole body blood reports have to be normal before calling it anxiety disorder. Vitamin d has to be ta...more

Hello
you are already on 80 mg fluoxetine. There is no need for buproprion. Sometimes excessoive dosage can lead to switch to mania. Better go for some relaxation exercises and activity scheduling. Thanks.

Dear lybrate-user,
meditation works excellent to treat with depression & anxiety but mind you it is a very long process. It is a very deep connect of body mind & soul. I suggest please continue the practice without fail. the experience you had is quite enviable because meditation can make you feel like it. In case you are uncomfortable, please do only guided meditation. You can try the headspace app
along with that kindly add the below things in your daily routine, a good vigorous exerci...more

Hi. Yes you can take nexito 5 mg maintaining 2 hour gap after breastfeeding the baby. You can further consult your psychiatrist for how much time you need to take the medications.
Part 2. Schizophrenic patients need to take their medications regularly whether breastfeeding baby or not. Same rule maintaining 2 hour gap between drug dose and breastfeeding. Important thing here is which medications are safe in breastfeeding. For that you must ask the same from your consulting psychiatrist.
