to treat a swollen ankle or leg at home, remember the acronym rice:
rest. Stay off your ankle or leg until you can get to the doctor or until the swelling goes away.
Ice. Put ice on the swollen area as soon as you can for 15 to 20 minutes. Then repeat every three to four hours.

Hot water fermentation will help and that can be done by immersing the foot in hot water. Wear mcr chappal for ankle pain. For flat foot the slippers has to be customized so that the medical arch support is provided for you to feel better.

towel stretch
the towel stretch will stretch the muscles in the lower legs and ankles.
To perform a towel stretch, follow these steps:
sit with both legs straight out in front.

•using elastic bandages (such as an ace bandage) to wrap your ankle, but not too tightly
•wearing a brace to support your ankle
•using crutches, if needed

Respected Lybrate user. Why are you neglect the problem till now. Why you don't be go doctor and take treatment. Why can you strech the ankle. Swelling is seen already.

Prevention:
soak your feet in salt water or diluted vinegar to help dry up blisters.
Wash your feet with soap and water every day and dry them thoroughly, especially between the toes.
Wash socks, bedding and towels in water that’s 140°f (60°c) or higher. Combining washing socks and application of otc antifungal recommendations should treat most cases of athlete’s foot. You can disinfect your shoes by using disinfectant wipes (like clorox wipes) or sprays.

Cold compresses can help reduce swelling in the area. Cooling also helps to numb sharp pain. Apply an ice pack for up to 20 minutes, up to five times a day.
