Gaining weight is not single day process. You should follow these-eat high calorie foods. Take more cake, pastries, ice cream, chocolate, ghee, cream, cheese, butter, almond, nut, cashew, olive oil, refined oil, coconut, canola etc. Eat more protein like fish, egg, lean meat, cottage cheese, soy milk, soy protein etc. Eat more whole wheat, whole grain, brown rice, brown bread etc. Drink lots of water. Sleep for 7-8 hours.

You should eat less but more frequently rather than filling your stomach in lunch or dinner.
Take something or the other (fruit/salad/green tea/marie biscuit/milk/roasted chana) after every two hours. Cut down your breakfast, lunch and dinner by 25 %. Do not take any heavy snacks as you are eating in every two hours.
Do some jiogging or play a sport like cricket or lawn tennis for atleast half an hour.
