Anal Fissure Health Feed

I have had PILES problems ever since my pregnancy. When the water consumption is low (<2 lits) I have the incidents of terrible pain while passing stools. I generally pass stools twice a day and have acidity issues. In my last incident of piles (i have external piles and anal fissures are visible outside) It was as usual painful and there was a rectal bleeding. I have been passing bloody stools in the last 7 days and Never have I had such prolonged bleeding in piles incidents. I fear that I might have rectal cancer. Can you advice and let me know the next course of action.

Probably it is the anal fissure that is troubling you. Try applying an ointment called ANORELIEF twice daily, specially before going for passing stool. Start with Hot sitz bath, laxatives if you have constipation. You will be definitely better.

Hello yes anal fissure can cause pain in that area. I suggest you also do a urine examination and a USG abdomen for prostate status. Till then you avoid spices and red meat. Take lots of fluids. Sit in warm saline water thrice a day. Apply cremagel cream locally thrice a day. And take softovac granules bed time with water. You can always get back to me with the reports. Regards.

I was suffering from chronic fissure from long time. After 3 months I am cured from chronic fissure. But there was anal tag. Initially the size was large, but day by day it reduced in size. But it has not gone inside anus. Small portion is there. Surgeon told me it is anal tag and you will require surgery for that. He also told there is small ano cutaneous fistula pus. I went to another surgeon specialist, where he inspected my anus using proctoscopy. He told there is no fistula the skin tag is pile. That is causing you pain and itching. Then I asked him whether fissure is there. He told I don't see any fissure. Fissure heals on its own by managing proper lifestyle. But he told that the area inside anus may be filled with fibrosis. He also told to do laser surgery for piles. I am worried that during surgery do they remove fibrosis also along with piles, b coz if fibrosis is not handled I will be facing difficulty in bowel movements there can be chance of getting pile again. please help.

There must be some digestion related trouble behind this. First of all it should be treated. You should have clear motion daily. Also excess intake of pungent, dry, cold and light food, repeated intake of frequent meals (when previous food is not properly digested), spicy food, alcohol, prolonged fasting, excess of exercise, weight lifting, grief, hot climate, oily and fried food, day sleep, horse or camel riding, two wheeler riding etc are the reasons behind it. Avoid doing these. You may take some Ayurveda treatment so that it may not reappear.

During Lateral anal sphincterotomy muscles near anus are relaxed and as this surgery is not done actually on fissure it is done only sphincters. So the root cause of fissure is eradicated, but still why anal fissure easily recur for another hard stool?

Hello dear Lybrate user, hi Warm welcome to I have evaluated your query thoroughly. The lateral anal sphincterotomy is not the life time cure for any fissure, there are documented recurrences mentioned in the case studies as well. Because the root cause is hard stool, which is never eradicated by any surgery Hope this clears your query. Wishing you fine recovery. Welcome for any further assistance at my private URL Regards take care.
