You seem to be already doing the right thing. Visit your doctor again after about three months, (or at least in 6 months) and see how much is the improvement, any change required in glasses. Good recovery is possible even up to age 14 years.

Hello. Amblypoia is better known as" lazy eye" it occurs due to improper stimulus received by one eye in comparison to the other. There are various causes for amblyopia but by far the commonest cause is a significant difference in the refractive error between the two eyes. 1. At this age there is no solution for amblyopia but do not get disheartened there is new technology" binocular vision therapy" coming up which can help you at this age also.

As your age is now 21 years so your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs.
Can you please tell me your vision in right eye (eye wiyth -7DS and -0.5Dc).that will help in diagnosing if it is amblyopia or not.
