I have problem in both my eyes mainly left eye since childhood. A doc says the condition is amblyopia. I am wearing specs but still it is not clear through my left eye. please tell me what should I do to improve my vision? Does this condition cure?

Hello. Amblypoia is better known as" lazy eye" it occurs due to improper stimulus received by one eye in comparison to the other. There are various causes for amblyopia but by far the commonest cause is a significant difference in the refractive error between the two eyes. The treatment for amblyopia tends to be effective only if done upto 12-14 years of age. Treatment done at later stages tends to be less effective/ ineffective. This condition does not worsen usually but likewise, nor does it cure. I am sorry for the disappointment. Take care-regards.
