Hello sir. Excess of mucus/ eye discharge can be either due to some infection inside the eyes or because of blockage of the tear passage draining into the nose. Both conditions are treatable. Firstly one has to start medications for the same and then if not improving with such measures, one has to undergo a surgery as the last resort. Hope this helps. You can reach me out for consultation and for addressing your concerns in further details in a more personalised manner. Thank you.

Hello. Itching and discomfort in the eyes has no relation whatsoever with myopia. Yes pigmentation definitely is related. If you have myopia, not wearing glasses may lead to eye strain which eventually makes one rub their eyes frequently.
Kindly provide a photograph of your eyes so as to get an opinion for online consultation by an ophthalmologist. One should get their glasses checked up atleast every yearly. Also retina examination is equally important at every visit. High myopic eyes are m...more

Hello. Floaters can be physiological (normal) or pathological (abnormal). Physiological floaters are due to tiny condensed vitreous and are not damaging to the eye at all other than giving a floating particle sensation, so can be ignored.
Pathological floaters on the other hand can be dangerous as they maybe due to an impending retinal tear/ detachment. These floaters if not timely managed, can be vision threatening. If identified early, can be treated with laser and/or surgery. No type of m...more

Hello.
Such floating black dots/lines/cobwebs are floaters in medical terminology, particularly visible against light coloured and bright background. These floaters can be normal or abnormal, depending on the other parameters of eye like history of any kind of trauma or having high power or just an ageing process. They vary in their numbers, size and location. Whatever floater are visible right now may be totally normal, in which case nothing needs to be done at present or can be an alarming...more

Hello Mr. lybrate-user!
from your description it seems like you have an epithelial defect over your cornea. Due to blunt trauma to the eye especially forceful one (like an air hose pressure) the outermost superficial layer (epithelium) of the black part of eye (cornea) gets eroded, and since cornea is instrumental in vision, that is why you have blurry vision right now. The epithelium will slowly heal by bodyã¢ââs natural mechanism, but might leave a slight scar later on depending upon its...more

Hello. Allergy in the eyes these days has become very common in our routine clinics, especially in summers. Allergy is a general term, but for eyes per se there are different types of allergic disorders like akc, vkc etc. The treatment will differ for every individual and a detailed assessment of each eye is crucial in deciding treatment plan. Generally a cocktail of drops is prescribed as each one addresses a different mechanism. Allergy in general cannot be cured, but can only be controlled. C...more

Hello sir.
Your symptoms are suggestive of allergy. Let me assure your first it is easily treatable with the right medicines. An eye doctor will like to know some more details before prescribing you drops. Do you have frequent cough cold or any allergy of other kind? Since how long you have these symptoms? A good quality picture of both eyes can provide a lot of information. It is advisable to try and not rub. Rubbing the eyes causes more release of histamine (an allergic chemical) which lea...more
