Hi lybrate-user I think you should contact your doctor for these changes. 5 mg of axepta may not really help with anything. You should reduce risperidone further if you want but continue the axepta. Once again, refer to and trust your child’s doctor on this one
hope this helps

Do not stop the medication abruptly. It will have bad withdrawal symptoms. With the advise of Dr. Step by step reduce the medicine. You may tell your complaints mentioned here to Dr. Too. Meanwhile, please start doing yoga, and go for cognitive behavioural therapy for anxiety. Yoga, meditation and therapies work out beautifully to come out of this situation. All the best.

It’s common to experience a change in mood occasionally or to go through a short period of feeling elated or blue. But if your behavior is unpredictable for a number of days or longer, it may be a sign of something more serious.
For example, you may:
be so excitable that you find yourself unable to control urges to spend money, confront people, or engage in other uncontrollable or risky behaviors
feel like you want to harm yourself or end your life
be unable to visit friends, get...more

Hi,
based on the information provided by you, it appears that you have a mood disorder, probably bipolar disorder. Trazine is probably not the right medicine for you. It's in your best interest if you consult a nearby psychiatrist in-person & discuss about starting mood stabiliser which would be most appropriate medicine for you if the diagnosis of bipolar disorder is confirmed by him/her.
