Asked for male, 30 years old from Jammu

I think, I have ADHD, which I have self-diagnosed. And I also seen some doctor in Jammu, one a neuro specialist and another a senior psychiatrist. Neuro specialist said that adhd was eradicated, and the senior psychiatrist said that it was an excuse and start giving me life lessons. Both the doctor were ignorant and didn't take any test and gave me anti-depressants meds (pexep cr 25 mg I think). What should I do now, I lost hopes in doctor in jammu?

Hello doctor, I am diagnosed with ADHD, started with concrete 18 mg since yesterday. If this drug does not fit me what would be the symptoms. What alternative would the doctor prescribe me? Will it be Adderall? I am aware that it's not available in India, there's a non-stimulant called atomoxetine. I'm not interested to take atomoxetine. I needed the stimulants kind of medicine.

you have been started on concerta xl 18 mgs only recently. Your prescribing doctor will review response, monitor for any possible side effects and if appropriate will titrate up the dose gradually till there is effective control of your adhd symptoms. Most of them respond well to concerta (which is an extended release preparation of methylphenidate which is a stimulant medication). I think I have adult adhd. I tend to procrastinate a great deal, and loose concentration. I start many things but can't keep up. I loose interest within a few days after starting something. I've also become really unorganised. Sometimes my room gets really messy, yet I don't even seem to notice. Also, I used to be a topper in class but now I don't even feel like studying.
