Acanthosis Nigricans is a skin condition in which there is darker, thick, velvety skin in body folds and creases. The skin becomes dark, velvety and thick in areas such as back and sides of neck, armpits, thighs, elbows and knees.

Acanthosis nigricans usually appears slowly and doesn't cause any symptoms.

Dark underarms are generally caused by sweating, improper cleaning, dead skin cells, and friction caused as a result of different qualities of clothes. Hello, you can go for chemical peels which will take 4-6 sessions with a time interval of 15 days between each session. You need to reduce weight also as obesity is one of the cause of acanthosis nigricans.
