My usg impression: present study shows: 1. About 94 cc residual urine in urinary bladder. 2. Mild pelvicalyceal fullness in both kidneys. What is the meaning this mild pelvicalyceal fullness in both kidneys? Is this a serious problem? What should I do?

Hajj mera dusra ultrasound hua pahle ultrasound 10 din pahle hua tha jisme only gs 1.71 cm dose tha.. According to today's ultrasound report- there is a single intrauterine fetus of crl about 1.82 cm and of about 8 week 2 days. My last lmp was 1 may .today my gynecologist is on leave .plz can you tell me everything is normal or not.

Whole picture is important.
At this stage other reports, vaccinations and supplements are required.

Hello, if you wish to know early about the viability then you would have to do a serial beta hcg test in 48 hrs gap and evaluate the trend of hcg rise.

Hello, as there is no foetal pole, so one has to wait for another 2 weeks. If no foetal pole at even 8 weeks and then its an anembryonic gestation.

Regular 127bpm heart. Normal 4 chambered fetal body movement. Active grosscongenital anomalies. Not detected fetal tone. Normal placental location. fungal anterior placental grade. 11 umbilical cord. Three vessel cord amniotic fluid volume. Adequate fetal bladder. Normal fetal kidneys. Normal fetal stomach. Normal fetal spine. Normal ma (lmp). 24wk 5d ma (usg). 24wk edd (usg). 18/9/21 impression. Live intrauterine pregnancy 24wk gestation.

As you have not mentioned last menstrual period date except related to that, report is normal.
It is always full picture which is important not just one report.

Hello doctor, I have read somewhere that an ultra sound and mri are ineffective for tonsils and vocal cords because of air trapped around these parts, is it true? My ent suggested to get a ct scan of neck to look at any abnormalities in the tonsils and vocal cords. Which imaging test will give an accurate diagnosis or help in the diagnosis? Ultrasound, mri or ct scan? Thanks.

Ct scan and mri will be more effective.
Ultrasonography is more effective in fluid filled cavities. As your ent surgeon has advised it please go for ct scan right now.

Usg abdomen and pelvis liver-normal in size (13. 3 cm), shape and echotexture. No evidence of focal lesions. No intrahepatic biliary radical dilatation. Portal vein and hepatic veins are normal. Gallbladder distended. Normal wall thickness. No e/ o calculus/ mass to the extent visualized. No pericholecystic collection. Cbd not dilated. Pancreas-head, body and tail shows normal size and uniform echotexture. Pancreatic duct not dilated spleen-normal in size (9.4 cm). Uniform echotexture. No focal lesions, paraaortic area free. Kidneys-right kidney measures 10.7 x 4.4 cm. Left kidney measures 10.4 x 5.1 cm. Normal cortical and sinus echoes. Corticomedullary differentiation intact. No internal echoes. No pelvicalyceal system dilatation urinary bladder-distended. Normal wall thickness. No internal echoes. Prostate-normal size (vol. 12. 3 cc). Uniform echotexture. No free fluid with in the peritoneal cavity. Rif:-mild probe tenderness noted over the appendix which measures 5.8 mm (borderline diameter). Rest of the bowel loops appears normal. Impression- > features s/ o subacute appendicitis. The above given is my scanning report, please let me know, is there any serious problem to my kidney or my appendix. Please tell a treatment for me. Thank you.

Kidneys are normal. However to say there is appendicitis one of the criteria is pain when pressing with the probe. The other is thickening of appendix. You are having a possibility of appendix. Better to do blood tests and repeat the scan. If any more thickening can be taken as appendiciits.

I am due an ultrasound on my abdomen on the 26th of april. I'm just wondering how successful they are at finding problems and will they be able to view my kidneys on the ultrasound. Thank you for your help.

Ultrasound is a very useful method for finding problems in the abdomen. But it depends on the doctor doing scan, and also the machine used. Most cases kidneys can be seen, and problems such as stones, blockages, tumours etc can be found out. If in case there is a doubt during the scan or your problem persists in-spite of normal scan, you could go for the next step which is a ct scan or mri.

Bowels usually have gas within. Whether it is due to a disease such as blockage of the bowels, needs to be ascertained. If there is such blockage the diameter of the bowel will increase and your radiologist with include that in the report.
