Hello lybrate-user. I can see you are having a problem of insomnia. Has this problem started recently or is it happening since many months. Sometimes stress and anxiety can cause sleep disorders and also lead to night mares. You may have to be put on tranquillizers for a few days to resolve your problem. But first it is necessary to know the root cause as these drugs are habit forming and shouldn't be taken for long. For the time being make a routine of some exercise like brisk walking or swimmi...more

Dear lybrate-user, you are just 20. You will not face any withdrawal symptoms or health consequences on suddenly leaving smoking. Quitting addictive substances is not an easytask. You can go for deaddiction therapy. But according to me, the best method would be, you quit the habbit now itself. Sustain the quitting with the help of self motivation. I suggest counseling and psychotherapy. Please consult a psychologist. Take care.

I'm a 28 years old girl, unmarried. I'm addicted to smoking. I started it very casually 2 yrs. First with 1 cigarette, then 2, then 5 and gradually the number of cigarette kept increasing. Now I smoke 20 cigarettes per day. I don't have any emotional issues nor do I have now. Just The fun part became an addiction. Now I want to quit desperately. I tried many times but every time it resulted in failure. The withdrawal symptoms are too much to ask for. When I don't smoke for 6-7 hrs I feel anger and rage in me and after that a period of depression which lasts. I read many articles on Internet about quitting. I tried every non medical trick but I couldn't deal with the withdrawal symptoms with enough motivation. If I can get some help or any good medicine which will help me quit it will be helpful.

Dear friend, congrats you have a strong willpower, but some time you loose your confidence. I assure you that nothing will go wrong when you quit smoking.
This is a false belief that withdrawal of smoking causes any damage.
But what happens when you quit, a low confidence again provokes to restart.
Here what should be done, just take few deep breaths and a glass of cold water and lemon juice and sip this slowly.
Spend 10, _15 min.
