My father has been detected with diabetes recently and advised to take diabetes medicines but he is not taking any medicines. But he is following a strict diet to keep a check on his sugar level. Please advise whether not taking medicines is a good idea or not? P.S.sugar level is empty stomach 130 and after lunch 232.

Hi as long as sugar levels are within limits then its ok, how ever your father's post food sugar levels are very high. He has to have strict control on diet and do meticulous walking/exercise to keep the sugar levels in control. He can try this for 2 months and recheck the sugar levels and hba1c values. If they are normal continue the above advice, if not consult the doctor who can treat diabetes. Wish your father good health

You will definitely get more stamina by following these very useful tips. * you should take proper balanced diet first. That means you have to take vegetables, milk, chapattis or rice, butter / cream, cereals (daals) or cheese every day. * very important thing, do not miss or skip your meals at any cost and take meals on time * drink atleast 2 litres of water daily. * proper 6-8 hours sleep is very important. If your sleep is less than 6 hours, then you feel tired very early. So complete your sleep. * do breathing execises daily in morning & evening. Just sit down in peaceful place, close your eyes, take deep and long breaths in and out. Do it atleast for 10-15 minutes daily. *take a walk, in first walk normally for 10-15 minutes for 15 days. Then slowly walk fast and slowly start running. You can do it on treadmill also. * you can do surya namaskar yogasan daily to improve your stamina under the guidance of yoga expert.

Bent Penis: Causes and Remedies

The human male reproductive organ is a versatile part of the body, which is rich in sensory nerves and has procreative as well as important urinary functions. This is a fairly complex organ with the capability to change shape when it is engorged with blood during an erection. However, certain problems with the penis would also be much more pronounced and understandable during an erection, one of which is the bent penis.

When is it a problem?
A penis comes in a variety of shapes and sizes and it is normal for it to have a tendency to be slightly bent in one direction or the other. However, when the penis ends up bending abnormally and also causes pain, it may be a problem and you should go consult a doctor. Some of the factors you should consider are:

  1. A sudden or a gradual change in curvature over a short period of time
  2. Painful erections
  3. Inability to masturbate or have sex due to excessive curvature
  4. Problems in trying to urinate among others

Some of the causes of bent penis: The primary physical cause of a bent penis is the lack of proper blood flow all across the organ. The spongy tissue which fills up with blood to achieve an erection may have spaces blocked or inhibited for various reasons. This uneven flow causes a dip or a bend in a specific direction. 

Some of the common causes would be:

  1. An injury to the penis
  2. Peyronie's disease (formation of plaque beneath the penis skin)
  3. Autoimmune disorders (wherein the immune system attacks the body tissues)
  4. Collagen abnormalities such as inherited fibrous tissues etc.

Injuries to the penis may cause scar tissues to develop as a response. These can be easily felt under the skin. Autoimmune disorders and Peyronie's disease also cause abnormal scar tissues build up. Peyronie's disease may also cause pain during erections or while engaging in sexual intercourse.

Remedies:

  1. Medicines: Oral or topical medications to resolve problems with blood flow or scar tissue can be used to resolve smaller injury related problems or lesser forms of Peyronie's disease.
  2. Surgery: Surgery may be required if your penis is injured or bent too badly out of shape such that it causes problems such as painful erections or inability to have sex.

Bhujang Asana -- Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily.

Feeling low on energy is due to excessive weight you are carrying. You can lose weight easily if you are patient and determined to shed those extra kilos. You just have to alter your daily routine, watch what you eat and be physically active. This requires you to be on your weight loss commitment for quiet long. For a start please follow: 1.Cut down the excess carbs. If you want to lose weight you should start by avoiding sugar and starch (like bread). A low carb diet reduces your hunger and makes it easier to eat less. And it might even increase your fat burning at rest. 2.Don’t skip meals. Skipping meals will not make you lose weight faster. That strategy backfires because your body thinks food is in short supply, so it slows your metabolism in order to conserve energy. Over time, the result is that when you do eat — even if you consume the same foods as always — your body will be slower to use the calories as fuel, thus creating a backlog of unwanted pounds. 3.Stay hydrated. You've heard it before, and you'll hear it again. That's because drinking 64 ounces of water daily is one of the easiest ways to speed up weight loss. Your body needs water in order to efficiently metabolize stored fat. When you shortchange your supply, you're likely to slow down that process, meaning it's more difficult for you to burn calories. An easy eight glasses a day (at least!) will keep your system running smoothly. 4.Start exercising. Strength training builds lean muscle tissue, which burns more calories — at work or at rest — 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The more lean muscle you have, the faster you'll slim down. How do you start strength training? Try some push-ups or a few squats or lunges. Use your free weights to perform simple biceps curls or triceps pulls right in your home or office. Do these exercises three to four times per week, and you'll soon see a rapid improvement in your physique. 5.Go for an evening walk. An evening activity may be particularly beneficial because many people's metabolism slows down toward the end of the day. Thirty minutes of aerobic activity before dinner increases your metabolic rate and may keep it elevated for another two or three hours, even after you've stopped moving. What that means for you: Those dinner calories have less of a chance to take up permanent residence on your hips. 6.Take adequate rest. You should also make an effort to get enough good sleep, preferably every night. Strive to wake up refreshed of your own accord, independently of the alarm clock. If you’re the kind of person who always gets brutally woken up by the alarm ringing, you might never be giving your body adequate rest. 7.Supplement vitamins and minerals. Nutrient-dense, good food is certainly the foundation of weight loss. But an adequate amount of vitamin D can be difficult to ingest via food. In the case of a lack of sun (such as during the darker months of autumn and winter), it’s wise to supplement for multiple health reasons – and perhaps even for your weight.

Hello sir I am a boy of 21 age boy with 52 kg weight I have problems with face that I have little white types of pimple that don't go fastly that stay for long time into the skin it don't hurt or ache but it stay little bit. Usually they are not like pimple that ache to the skin but they stay and go after long time as 2 and 1 year. What should I do for that. Please tell also my face skin seems to dry and weak. It is usually due to applying some cream like fare n lovely, use ZINDERM BPO CREAM FOR 10 MINUTES AT NIGHT N WASH WITH SIMPLE WATER, APPLY FACEGARD SUNSCREEN IN THE MORNING, DRINK LOTS OF WATER N EAT SALAD N FRUITS AVOID USING OILY N SUGARY FOODS, CONTACT IF ANY PROBLEM.

Hello- graying of hairs in such age is very serious issue. This is due improper nourishment of the hair follicles. Try this ayurvedic regimen- a) avoid spicy and salty diet b) avoid fast food c) avoid late night sessions d) use nili bhringadi oil (nili ingridient in this oil is known for its natural coloring action) e) use anu tail nasal drops daily (this oil removes obstruction from hair follicles and thus makes gray hair black) f) narsigha rasayana 1 tsp twice daily.(this is a hair vitalizing rasayana (tonic) mentioned)

Safflower oil for hair fall for preventing hair loss and baldness safflower oil can be used. This oil is rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids which are vital for healthy hairs. You can find two varieties of safflower oils in the market, both of which can be used for hair care. Safflower oil is helpful for permed, colored and dry hair. Use safflower oil for massaging the scalp. Leave it on overnight and rinse in the next morning. Use it every alternate day to get healthy hair.

Dear some people do have pigmentation on neck area as this area tend to react with sun or soaps we use. Daily use milk powder 1 tsp added in it oats and a pinch of kasturi haridra and apply to dark area and wash and apply moisturizer you can find little difference.

Here are some tips for how to handle your back pain: -stop normal physical activity for the first few days. This will help relieve your symptoms and reduce any swelling in the area of the pain. -Apply heat or ice to the painful area. One good method is to use ice for the first 48 to 72 hours, and then use heat. Take pain relievers medicine. --While sleeping, try lying in a curled-up, fetal position with a pillow between your legs. If you usually sleep on your back, place a pillow or rolled towel under your knees to relieve pressure. -Do not perform activities that involve heavy lifting or twisting of your back for the first 6 weeks after the pain begins. -Avoid bending forward and sitting in a place for long time -Stretching and strengthening exercises are important. But, starting these exercises too soon after an injury can make your pain worse. -Some Physiotherapy treatment like IFT can give you some relief . -A physical therapist can tell you when to begin stretching and strengthening exercises and how to do them. Hello, Its better if you take them separately. As figs and dates contain good mount of iron and milk contain calcium. They interfere in each others absorption.

1. Take one tablet of crocin advance sos upto a maximum of three tablets daily after food 2. Cold sponging sos 3. Drink plenty of water 4. Take rest 4. If no relief do blood examination like esr, cbc, widal/ typhidot test, blood for mp/malaria antigen and dengue antigen (ns1) test, urine re/me after consulting physician and follow the advice and treatment 5. Consult me for further advice.

kindly take indukantha kshayam, 3 tsf in half a glass of warm water before meals in a glass of warm water, twice a day. Take gandhaka rasayana, 3 tabs after meals, twice a day. Take lohasava, 3 tsf in half a glass of luke warm water, 1 hr after meals, twice a day. Avoid cold water, curd, freid food, spicy food, soft drinks in your routine. Apply kumkumadi lepam cream after washing the face with herbal face wash , twice a day. Make sure your sleep 7 to 8 hrs at night regularly. Take triphala powder, 1 tsf in half a glass of warm water at bed time , regularly. Continue the regime for 2 months. Good luck
