Night Fall - All You Need to Know

Nightfall or wet dreams is a very common occurrence in men, in adolescents. This condition is characterized by the involuntary ejaculation of semen while sleeping at night or in the early hours of the morning. The problem can sometimes become frustrating for young men because they fail to understand the reason for it and cannot discuss it with their parents or peers out of embarrassment. The frequency of these nocturnal ejaculations may vary from person to person. Some people only experience it in their adolescent years and some people experience it throughout their lives.

Frequent night falls can result in laziness, lesser sensation in the genital regions, burning sensation after urination and low libido.

What are the causes?
Night falls are common at a young age when a man abstains from sex. But if they persist and become more frequent, they can create adverse effects on the body.

The major causes are stated below,
- Weak nerves, congested prostate gland and inability to control emotions are considered as primary causes of frequent nightfall
- Males having sex or performing self-stimulation frequently can become prone to night fall
- Side effects of medicines like tranquilizers, high blood pressure medicines, sedatives etc. can also increase the frequency of night falls
- Lethargic lifestyle, diabetes, obesity, long sitting hours, low libido, stress, anxiety and depression affect the balance of hormones, weakening the nerves and causing nightfall

How can it be controlled?
- Exercises and jogging keep the body fit and taking a bath before sleeping relax the mind and aids in sleeping, therefore reducing the possibility of nightfall
- Urination right before going to bed can help in preventing nightfall
- Having yogurt twice or thrice a day can reduce the chances of getting wet dreams
- Refraining from watching porn or sexually explicit visuals before going to bed will keep nightfall at bay
- Reading books before going to sleep can reduce the possibility of getting wet dreams. However, a book dealing with sensuous themes can make it worse. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a sexologist and ask a free question.

Sir I had asked a question for my wife's miss period. Answer was given from a doctor of Lybrate that you should get a home test and lab test. I got home home and lab tests both, the result is negative. I just want to know as tests declared negative then is my wife not pregnant or still is there any chance of pregnancy. The tests were done after ten days of missing the period.

As blood test i. E beta hcg, is negative for pregnancy she is 100% not pregnant. Menses can be naturally delayed by hormonal changes or stress or weight gain or illness. You can wait for another 1 month before you seek any medical help for getting menses.

My wife is pregnant for one month as she missed her first period and as indicated by prega news kit but we do not want a baby right now .we want it to be aborted at home by the most easy and safe method.

I am 22 years old, I have very irregular periods, also have PCOS. I had unprotected sex with my friend and after that my periods were 1 month late. When they started I got very light brown spotting in 1st week 2 days and then normal periods started after that one week. But its been a month periods have not stopped. I have heavy flow now. I was on pause mf for 8 days 16 tablets but no effect. Ultrasound showed polycystic ovaries and endometrial thickness of 5mm, 10 days before. I have still heavy flow. Is this due to hormonal imbalance? Is there possibility of me being pregnant?

As this kind of heavy bleeding u never experienced before, it is better get ur pregnancy test done at home. Even if u were pregnant, it looks like it has beed aborted on its own as ultrasound does not show anything. Such kind of bleeding can happen with hormonal imbalance which can not stop with pause tablets. It needs hormonal treatment to stop such kind of bleeding in the form of oral contraceptive pills for 3 months period

Hello condom is not a permanent contraceptive method. You should adopt some other method to avoid the pregnancy. Your problem may be due to some infection. Get it checked and take proper treatment.

On an average a person consumes nearly 800 calories daily from added sugar. This does not just include natural sugar found in fruits or milk but the processed sweet sugar as well, that is added to cakes, tea, coffee, confectionery and even pasta sauce and salad dressing. Take vegetarian diet. All fruits and vegetables. Avoid garlic and red chilly, non veg and eggs. Do slow and deep breathing relaxation exercises in the morning to be mentally strong.

Best contraception for you is copper - t, as there are no medicines are needed to take. As you have sex only twice a month, taking oc lills like novelon is also the option but you will have to take it daily for the whole 21 days in a month.

If she has missed her scheduled [periods she might be pregnant. Do a simple urine pregnancy test to confirm if pregnant or not? if positive urgently consult a gynaecologist, get examined, and investigated to know the exact duration of [pregnancy, to decide the most safe and effective method of termination if desired by you both.

Dear Mr. lybrate-user, Metformin is an insulin sensitizer and is usually prescribed in women with Polycyctic ovaries. It helps in improving hormonal profile, cycle regularity and increases the chances of pregnancy. It can be safely continued even in pregnancy. Most common Side effects are Abdominal or stomach discomfort decreased appetite, diarrhea, fever or chills, general feeling of discomfort, muscle pain or cramping lethargy etc, Side effects can be minimized by taking the medication with food. Hello, other signs of pregnancy are nausea, headache, vomiting, bloating, increase frequency of urine, distaste for food and mood swings often, but all are not definite signs. Conclusive evidence if beta hcg levels more than 5ng/dl or more than 3miu.

All of us have our 'good hours' and 'bad hours' each day. While there are the night owls, who are more productive and ideating in the late night hours, there are others who like to be the early bird that literally catches the worm.For For both these categories, there are again hours where the energy wanes. Did you know there are some simple techniques that can help to maintain consistent levels of energy throughout the day?

As much as possible, try and maintain a regular routine in terms of waking up, eating at the same hours as closely as possible, and retiring for the day. The biological clock or circadian rhythm needs to be maintained as much as possible if high productivity is desired. Here are some things that can be completely and easily controlled to keep your energy levels steady through the day.

    1. Sleep patterns: Be it going to bed or waking up, try and maintain a pattern that does not vary too much, at least not drastically.  After waking up, a good dose of light in the morning is very helpful. If your work requires you to sleep during the day, ensure you get up into a room that is well and brightly lit.
    2. Exercise: Whether is it Saturday or cloudy, a 30 minute workout does magic like nothing else. Get outdoors and be it a walk or a run, cycling or swimming, you will see nothing else boosts your energy as well as this.
      • Nutrition: Reduced carbohydrates, a good dose of protein, ample hydration, adequate fiber intake, and good quantity of dry fruits are somethings to definitely follow. Start with a good breakfast that can boost your energy requirements for the day and eat less as the day goes by.
        • Caffeine: One of the most pleasant experience is to wake up to have a refreshing cup of coffee. While it sounds exotic, the body benefits more if this caffeine is provided sometime later in the day when the energy levels are low.
          • Alcohol: For many, alcohol could be a way of stress busting, but if scientifically looked at, alcohol reduces the quality of sleep and leaves you feeling unrested. It also leaves one tired and irritated. If possible, the alcohol intake should be at least 2 hours before bedtime.
            • Power naps: Highly proven technique, where possible, a power nap of 15 minutes is believed to boost up energy levels significantly.

    These are some methods to boost your energy levels. Most of it something completely controllable and changeable by you, all it requires is a conscious effort from you.If If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you canconsult a doctor.
