Dear lybrate-user, the problem with alcohol is it gives too much desire and takes away the performance. If you are consuming daily, probably you are dependent on alcohol. You need to stop alcohol with the help of doctor and medicines. Your sex life will improve after that. Don't say that your friends are having sex after alcohol. Each one has different way of reacting to alcohol. This is your way. Your sex life will improve once you get married to your girl friend. Lot of things, like less time, urgency, guilt of making her pregnant, inferiority complex etc may be playing a role. All of them will improve once you get married. Don't worry - you are able to get erection, you are able to penetrate - these things show you are normal.

Dear friend it is very tough to deal with the head and heart conflict. It seems that you are quite independent minded and determined yet caring individual. I would strongly recommend you to work through your emotional as well as work stress wit someone such as counselor or a psychologist or even a life coach. Being in pune I am sire you will find someone competent very easily. What you need eight now is someone who can understand you and help you appreciate yourself. Once you will start talking to someone it will bring new and fresh perspective in your life and that will help you nevi gate successfully through your current life events. If you are open to work online and spend 1 hour each week for you and your personal growth and satisfaction. As a psychologist and life coach, and also as a woman whose mission is to support other women to help florist to their fullest I would do my best to help you be confident, happy and vibrant again. In the meanwhile following things may help you both inderstand nad manage stress. When our mind is hooked into past it is normal to have lot of negative thoughts and in turn feeling low. The good news is that our mind could be wired to switch back to positive things and resilience building. We have immense potential within us and we could tap into those one step at a time, one day at a time. When things does not happen as we wish or people do not behave as we expect that is when out of disappointment, frustration, loneliness, anger, sadness. Etc we react and our mind starts thinking negative thoughts. Changing this pattern of responding to stressful situation requires both persistence and patience. Also you will only be able to work on this out of love and kindness towards you. Strong motivation will go a long way. Writing a statement about how would you want to respond in a similar situation and how will your life and your happiness will change if you do learn to manage your stress and how to respond to it. Once that is clear. Try following things to learn relaxation response which leads to better coping mechanism on a daily basis. To begin with doing guided progressive muscular relaxation before sleeping will help you relax. You could google and download an audio file. I would also suggest you to take a multiple small break to take 3 nice and deep breath while keeping your eyes closed. You could do this while sitting or standing or while even walking or climbing stairs (keep your eyes open in that case). When you take a nice and deep break there is actual physiological change in your body. This will help you to activate parasympathetic nervous system which promotes relaxation and helps you calm down and think more clearly. This will also actually improve your performance in your work. Along with this exercise is one of the best way to relive stress and stay fit. Engage in any kind of physical activity at least 4 times a week. This also helps in stress reduction. Along with this some relaxation exercises as well as engaging in joyful activities such as music, singing, dancing, reading, being in nature, gardening, talking with friends or anything which you enjoy will help reducing stress and rejuvenation of your mind and body. Have good routine for sleep and eating. Lot of research has now proven that sugar is very harmful for our health. Reduce sugar and refined white floor in your diet as much as you could. Along with this also increase consumption of raw vegetables in the form of salad in both the meals of your day. Let me. Know if you need any further help.

I'm 45 year old and suffering from fear of death, disease. Doing regular exercise for an hour and meditation for 15 minutes. Going to various phycritist and had drugs like esitlopam, serotonin.clonotril but in vain. Which would be best for me please help. I just want to feel happy.

Dear lybrate-user, Health anxiety disorder can be treated with escitalopram, sertraline and clonotril. These tablets take 2-3 weeks to reach the brain. So you have to wait for few weeks to see the results. If the results are not that good, the doctor will increase the dose, add another tablet/therapy or shift to another antidepressant. You need to consult the doctor frequently for better improvement. Please continue exercise and meditation also in addition.

I don't know how suddenly I feel like I am lost, lonely and feeling like crying! can't help it with, discussing with anyone is tough task because I think they might not understand, and this is my frequent problems so I don't want to irritate them, I get sudden mood swings and I remain silent most of the time. I get aggression too. But I can't help it out. I am not able to concentrate on my studies. Please suggest me something. Earlier I had bad relationship from which it effected me so much, I got mental torcher, blackmails for that I am very afraid. The boy still calls me, and as soon he calls? My heartbeat turns faster. Although I am out of it but I am unable to keep myself happy, set various limits for myself and scared for loving or trusting anyone.

Hi, I can understand your feelings. What ever symptoms you are facing is because of your bad experience. You are trying hard to overcome it. It is a very positive move of yours. Do not afraid of that guy and be firm in communication. It will take some time to be normal. Keep yourself busy. Eat healthy food and have proper rest. Do some physical exercise. It will release some good hormones so your mood will get elevated. You can change your phone number or just say him straight that you are not going to tolerate him anymore. Take help of some trusted person and share your feelings with him/her.

But this sort of depression does not stay for long. This depression gets cleared within a span of some weeks.
