Obesity can produce it. Apply melalong cream at night a very small quantity for 4 weeks and reduce weight and adopt a balanced diet.

The eruption of acne, black marks and oily skin/ face are due to excessive sebum secreted by sebaceous glands and hair follicles especially on the face.. Precautions- * Don't scratch or pinch your pimples This will cause more damage and scars. . * Avoid fried and oily foods. * Prefer fruits and green vegetables. * When you apply any cream, sun screen and the like, clean your face at the earliest, so that there will be no adverse action of the chemicals on the delicate skin of face. Your skin ?breaths? through its pores which are not to be closed for long. .We have good treatment in Homoeopathy without causing adverse effects. The medicines work internally, tackle the root of the problem unlike face wash which is a surface treatment.. If you are interested, please furnish the following information. *. Hi, Gradually and slowly decrease the frequency of using Melacare cream. Here are some tips for fairer and flawless skin: -Soak some almonds in water overnight, remove their skin in the morning and grind them. Add a teaspoon of gram fluor, one teaspoon of milk and 4 drops of lime juice. Make a paste, mix it well and apply it on your face. Regular massage gives you long lasting clear and fair skin. -Turmeric is good ingredient for skin. Make a face pack with mixture of turmeric and milk. Apply this and wash off after an hour with cold water for glowing skin. Lemon juice and glycerin work nicely for dry skin whereas fuller’s earth and turmeric are used for oily skin. -Mix papaya and honey and mash it. Apply and wash after 20 minutes. Use this face pack every other day for a naturally spotless fair skin. This pack also eliminates the sun tanning which causes patchiness on the skin and the dark spots or the pimple marks which will refrain the skin from looking spotless. -Take one tomato, grate it well and mix it with 3-4 drops of lime juice. Apply it on your face wait for 15 minutes and then rinse it off. Repeat it daily and feel the change on your face. -Mix some tomato juice with some yoghurt and mix it well. Apply on the face as a pack and wash after 30 minutes. Try this every other day for better results. Use Schwabe's Skin Care soap, apply Calendula & Aloe Vera cream immediately after bathing, apply Bakson's Suncare sunscreen 20-30 min. Before going out under the sunlight. At night, use Bakson's Papaya Pack and after washing face apply it's Fairness cream. Above all, regular exercise (yoga, gymnastic, aerobics etc), intake of healthy nutritious food, keeping a positive attitude, avoiding stress/ anger/ anxiety/ fear/ jealousy/ aggressive nature as much as possible as it affects skin, its colour and glow!

Fractional Laser Treatment - Know About It!

MD - Dermatology, MBBS
Dermatologist, Panchkula
Fractional Laser Treatment - Know About It!

Fractional laser or Fraxel as it is commonly known in cosmetic surgery terms, is a non-invasive technique to treat various skin problems. A beam of laser is divided into thousands of treatment zones, which are focused on a particular spot on the skin, giving it the name fractional laser.

Conventionally, ablative laser works on the epidermis while non-ablative laser works on the collagen or the dermis layer. Fractional laser is unique in that it works on both these layers. Therefore, in problems involving both these layers, Fraxel works extremely well.

  1. Sun damage
  2. Extensive skin pigmentation
  3. Wrinkles
  4. Stretch marks
  5. Melasma

How does it work?

The skin has two layers – epidermis and the dermis. The epidermis is the protective layer and has the melanin-producing melanocytes, which gives the skin, its color. The dermis has collagen and elastic fibers, which gives it skin the elasticity. With age, the skin loses its elasticity and becomes pale, as the collagen degenerates. Less of new collagen is formed, and so aged appearance including sagging, fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots, etc. appear.

What Fraxel does is produce 1000s of columns of laser which act on both the dermis and the epidermis and improve collagen formation and removing old cells. The surrounding skin remains intact, and only the area of focus is treated.

What to expect?

  1. Before the procedure, the doctor will validate if you are a candidate for the procedure.
  2. Photos will be taken of the area and in people with darker complexion, bleaching or chemical peel may be used
  3. With face cleaned with soap and water, an anesthetic cream is applied to the skin.
  4. The laser beam is then applied, usually about 30 minutes.
  5. The procedure could be painful if the laser beam is strong which makes the use of anesthetic essential
  6. A cooling device is applied at the end of the procedure, and the area is then washed off
  7. One may experience redness, swelling, and tenderness for about a week
  8. New skin will develop in about a week’s time
  9. Skin peeling can happen in some people, which can be easily removed off without pain
  10. Adequate use of moisturizer and sunscreen is advised
  11. Clothing should be protective, include sunglasses, wide hat, and scarf
  12. Most people require a repeat of 3 to 4 sessions to complete the treatment, with a gap of a month usually.
  13. Unlike with other skin treatments, the effect from Fraxel takes time. It may take up to 3 to 4 months for the complete effect to show, as it involves complete collagen formation.

If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Dermatologist.

I am a athlete I use to play in the field 6 hours daily whenever I used to go out in the field my skin tone gets darker I used to apply sunscreen but it doesn't work. Is there any cream which help me when I was playing outdoor and after playing to repair or regain the natural colour of skin.

Use a good quality SUN PROTECTION FORMULA. Of at least SPF 20. Keep reapplying it after every 2 hours because they last no more than that. Keep yourself hydrated. And try wearing cotton clothes with full sleeves, they are keep you cool plus full sleeves will prevent tanning, this helps me a lot. Do not use greasy moisturizers before going out as they cause further tanning when in sun. Applying ice on the face once in a week washes down the tan up to a great extent. Washing face every time you come from outside prevents pigmentation and removes the tan. Basic idea is to keep the skin clean.
