Endoscopic biliary stenting is procedure to open a blocked bile duct. A stent is a small cylinder-shaped tube that widens your bile duct and keeps it open. A stent should keep bile duct open and stop bile building up and causing jaundice. You should be able to see the jaundice reducing within a day or two of having your stent put in. Unfortunately, stents can become blocked after a few months. If this happens it is often possible to unblock or replace the stent.

Dear lybrate-user ,though your Echo normal, no thyroid, there is some underlying problem in eletrophysiology of the heart beat. You consult a cardiologist or go to the centre which has cardiac eletrophysiology lab. And do a detail cardiac workup. Do not take things easy. Bye.

Low Blood Pressure - Quick Homeopathic Remedies That Can Help!

Low blood pressure is also known as hypotension. Low blood pressure can be characterized by extreme fatigue, constant recurrence of headache and drowsiness throughout the day. It can also cause severe vertigo, nausea and even fainting. Low blood pressure can be caused due to dehydration, anaemia, hypothyroidism, lack of essential nutrients in diet, extreme stress or heart conditions. Homeopathy is a safe, natural method of treating low blood pressure. It is an effective remedy without causing detrimental consequences or adverse side effects.353216

Homeopathic medicines start by providing “symptomatic” relief. It eases vertigo, nausea, fatigue and provides relief so that the patient can carry on with daily activities without hindrance. The next step is to normalise the blood circulation in the body, which also includes an improvement in the pulse rate and heart functions. This is done to maintain the normal blood pressure range. The third step involves treating the cause of low blood pressure. This includes a detailed study and analysis of the medical history of the patient. There are different causes of low blood pressure and different age groups are affected. Therefore, medicines are prescribed accordingly.

Some highly recommended Homeopathic medicines for low blood pressure:

  1. Gelsemiun and Viscum Album are effective homeopathic medicines mostly prescribed for patients with low blood pressure, which is accompanied by extreme vertigo and nausea. Sometimes the patients also suffer from a constant dull aching head and feelings of stress. The pulse is usually slow and weak, causing persistent fatigue.
  2. Glonoine and Natrum Mur help to maintain the blood pressure when it unexpectedly falls due to prolonged sun exposure. Heavy headedness, vertigo, nausea, fainting spells are common in such cases.
  3. Carbo veg and China are highly potent medicines in case of an abnormal fall in blood pressure caused by severe diarrhoea and dehydration. The body has marked signs of exhaustion and the pulse is so weak that it is often imperceptible.
  4. China and Ferrum Met are prescribed when the blood pressure falls due to heavy blood loss. Irregular, feeble purse, anaemia, exhaustion are common symptoms occurring from blood loss due to haemorrhage.

It is important to include nutrients, dairy products and increase intake of iron-containing food along with the homeopathic medicines prescribed to speed up the health improvement process.

I'm 35 year male non-smoker. I've been having Heart Palpitations multiple times: 17th Feb 28th Feb 6th March 17th May and 20th May. I am type 2 diabetic and currently on Metformin 850 mg twice a day and Silverstatin 10 mg once at night. In March I got myself hospitalized to get my heart checked up by doing Echo ECG treadmill and reports were normal. They even hooked me up with Event Monitor for 2 days with monitoring connected to ICU, which was normal. The doctors are not able to determine what is the disease and on every incident of palpitation they do Toponil and X-ray which comes out normal. For my last episode, I've been now advised to get appointment with Electro Physiologist. Can this be SVT?

Hi lybrate-user, The symptoms you describe can very well be due to SVT, or PSVT to be precise (Paroxysmal Supra-Ventricular Tachycardia). Electrophysiologist won't help much unless you have a diagnosis. Since your symptoms are not daily, its likely 2 day event monitor didn't catch the abnormal rhythm. The next best option here is to get a 15 day or 30 day event recorder. That has higher likelihood of catching the arrhythmia. These days, you also get devices like Kardia or Remote ECG which you can keep in your pocket and attach to yourself whenever you get palpitations. Also get your thyroid checked if it isn't checked yet. Take care.

You can reduce diastolic BP by increase in medicines. Check with your Dr. about adding atenolol in smallest dose. Reducing salt is unhelpful. Reducing sugar jaggery and alcohol improves health.
