I have suffering from hydronephrosis from last few months now it has been operated so please tell me what I can eat or what I have to avoid.

Hydronephrosis per se doesn't need any dietary advice. If the urea level is high you will require low protein in diet as per your weight and dietary preferences.

Renal Stones - 4 Ayurvedic Ways To Treat It!

Renal Stones - 4 Ayurvedic Ways To Treat It!

Renal stone or kidney stone is the most common problem that is found in different people these days. It is mainly a hard mass that accumulates either in one or both the kidneys that can cause pain and another discomfort. Renal stones are classified into two types and these are:

  1. Calcium Stones and
  2. Uric Acid Stones.

Symptoms Of Renal Stone
Many times pain in the lower section of the stomach can be due to many reasons such as acidity, but long term pain can be considered as a symptom of renal stone. This happens when the stone moves from the kidney to the urinary tract or also when the stones grow. Some other symptoms apart from the pain are:

  1. The colour of the urine is turned into red or brown as it contains blood,
  2. The urge of urination increases,
  3. Nausea and Vomiting at times.

Causes Of Renal Stone
The medical term used for the renal stone is renal calculi or urolithiasis or nephrolithiasis. The problem can occur due to a number of reasons and a few among them are:

  1. Increased calcium amount in the body,
  2. Genetic factor,
  3. Disease or infection in the kidney or the urinary,
  4. Consumption of alcohol and also some oxalate food items,
  5. Diseases such as high blood pressure, hypercalciuria or gout,
  6. Inflammatory disease of intestine and stomach,
  7. Side effects of wrong medication.

Home Remedies By Ayurveda For Curing Renal Stone
There are some of the home remedies available that are suggested by the Ayurveda:

  1. Treating Renal Stone With Kidney Beans
    1. Add 4 litres of water to 60 grams of kidney beans.
    2. Now heat the mixture for about 4-5 hours.
    3. Now strain the mixture through a muslin cloth into a container.
    4. Keep the fluid aside to cool down.
    5. After the fluid cools down completely, start drinking one glass of the fluid every 2 hours.
    6. Make sure that the fluid should be consumed within 24 hours.
    7. Do this for a week time.
  2. Treating kidney Stone With Basil Leaves And Honey
    1. Crush about 10-15 basil leaves and make a paste of it.
    2. Take out the juice of about 1 tablespoon of the paste.
    3. Now add one teaspoon honey to the juice and mix them well.
    4. Consume this mixture every day once.
  3. Treating Renal Stone With Pomegranate Seeds And Horse Gram
    1. Add about half litre water to 1 cup horse gram.
    2. Now heat it till the water comes down to about 1/5th and then strain the liquid.
    3. Crush some pomegranate seeds and add about 2 tablespoons to the liquid.
    4. Drink this mixture daily.
  4. Apart from these remedies, drinking apple juice regularly and doing regular exercise also helps in getting rid of renal stone. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult an ayurveda.

After a pcnl surgery of staghorn stone have developed a 4cm cyst on right kidney with cortical calcification request you to please specify the medical condition my kft is normal with 108 meql of chloride and less urine output sometime as i feel no other complications as of now is the condition harmful for my kidney my urologist is saying its normal and just monitor by a year or so. Pls suggest

Dear , Simple cortical cyst with calcification is no trouble. It does not damage kidney and is to be left alone or at the most to be kept under supervision as your urologist has suggested. However i would like to point out that if you have preserved the stone fragments then get its chemical analysis done so that one could know for sure what the stone is formed of from that the likely cause of the stone formation as it is formed because of some underlying cause which must be detected and treated so that recurrent formation of stone can be prevented. Dr. Kiran Mehta.

There is no permanent cure. Some precautions taken can prevent major problem due to stones, early treatment. Having plenty of water on regular basis will prevent stone getting larger in sixe as they are flushed out early. Still stones may form in those parts of kidney where natural drainage is poor. For this there are some excercises which involve head down erect posture allowing drainage of such parts. Eswl is safe but like every procedure it also has some risks but less then other major procedures.

My wife age is 30 years, please about this tell urine coming with blood its reason.
Hi, urine in blood can be due to urinary infection, kidney stones or rarely tumor in kidney or bladder. She needs to get a urine examination and ultrasound of abdomen urgently to rule out these conditions and start treatment according to the results. Please get back to me if you need any clarification.

I have stones pain sir it is very pain full to me sir how to control the pain sir.
1. Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, cold drinks, pickles, fish, poultry, meat, spinach, and chocolate. 2. Avoid sour, heavy, and dry food. 3. Increase intake of liquids like water, juice, soup, lime water lemon soda etc. 4. Be sure to drink enough water each day. Usually 1 to 2 liters of water per day is adequate. 5. Drink more if you are perspiring heavily, working outdoors, the weather is hot, etc. 6. Increase the use of barley, horse gram (a type of bean), ginger, and brown rice or parboiled rice. 7. Avoid suppressing urges to urinate and defecate. 9. Boil 10-12 basil leaves in 1 cup of water for 15 minutes. Mix 1 teaspoon of honey in it and take twice a day. Pls send ur USG report becoz medication for stones depends upon size number and location of stones and can be given after USG.

Do not worry you can take, but in gym you do not lift heavy weight because you complaining testis pain, it may increase the pain after completing treatment you do other wise it may become complicated, first you check kidney stone size reduced or not.
