Dear Lybrateuser, - The heaviness in centre of chest could be due to acidity or GERD - avoid spicy, fried & junk food - have 4-5 small meals rather than three large meals, chew your food well, do not skip meals, have meals on time, do not lye down for atleast an hour after meals, have dinner 2-3 hrs before bedtime, raise the pillow end by 4-5 inches for proper digestion, take a walk after meals - have 8-10 glasses of water per day - do regular exercise like walking, jogging for 20-30 min, also do yoga, deep breathing for 5-10 min daily.

Treatment for high cholesterol is lipid lowering drugs. But it is prudent to rather treat the cause than the effect. Which means if he avoids alcohol eats low fat diet and exercises regularly he might not need to take medicines.

Hello dear High triglycerides and cholesterol can cause atherosclerotic heart disease or narrowed coronary arteries in the heart can cause the symptoms of angina, when theheart muscle is not provided with enough oxygen to function. Decreased blood supply to the brain may be due to narrowed small arteries in the brain or because the larger carotidarteries in the neck may become blocked. This can result in a transient ischmic attack or stroke. Peripheral artery disease describes gradual narrowing of the arteries that supply the legs. During exercise , if the legs do not get enough blood supply, they can develop pain , called claudication . Other arteries in the body may also be affected by plaque buildup causing them to narrow, including the mesenteric arteries to the intestine and the renal arteries to the kidney. Change life style .do meditation, yoga, Go walk daily, do any one physically activity daily i.e.play any game., Avoid fast foods, oily foods, junk foods, alcohol, smoking, fatty foods, non-veg.,avoid stress, take plenty of water in day time. To increase weight it's not important to eat a lot. It's important to eat healthy and maintain consistent metabolic rate. Maintain good metabolism by following this: 1 take fibrous fruits and vegetables 2 eat healthy stuffs. Quality is important than quantity. Take whole grains than refined ones, consume natural home cooked food than processed one, aerated drinks are a big no. Consume green leafy vegetables. Dairy products like cottage cheese, milk, curd, cheese in moderation 3 exercise is a must for increasing metabolism. Follow any of these remedies: 1 eat peanuts soaked in milk overnight in the morning before breakfast. 2 eat handful of raisins and green gram soaked in water overnight before breakfast. 3 consume cashews soaked in milk overnight in the morning.

Hello, you can opt Homoeopathic remedies for the same problem . These medicines work efficiently without causing any side effects to the patients. Take Rauvolfia 1x, 2 tabs daily morning empty stomach. Take Essentia Aurea, 20 drops with water twice daily. Drink plenty of liquids and cut down your fat, salt and sugar intake. Home remedies to Control high BP:-1. Bananas are one fruit that people with high blood pressure can eat regularly to control it. Bananas are a rich source of potassium, which lessens the effect of sodium. So, try to eat one or two bananas daily. Along with bananas, you can try dried apricots, raisins, orange juice, spinach, baked sweet potatoes. 2. Eat one or two crushed garlic cloves daily. You can simply crush them with your hands. Crushing garlic cloves creates hydrogen sulfide, a compound that promotes good blood flow, removes gas and reduces the pressure on the heart. If you do not like eating raw garlic or if it causes a burning sensation, then take it along with a cup of milk. You can also mix five or six drops of garlic juice in four teaspoons of water and take it twice a day. 3.Take a sound sleep and try to avoid anger.
