Hi lybrate-user, you mentioned that you forget learned things. When ever you sit for study give a reading aloud, keeping pencil underline each word. Reading aloud will help you concentrate and understanding the content. Then give a second reading with learning point of view, make notes of important points, this time. Then read notes finally. This will help you concentrate. Make sure whatever you are learning give it a revision within 24hr that help us retain things for long.

She had problem with speech and language skills and walking also. Go and consult the speech therapist and find the accurate level of comprehension and expression age and then start speech and language therapy. Consult physiotherapy.

DEAR Lybrate USER. This problem is due to irritation and inadequate nutrition of the brain. So follow few basic things …. 1) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals …. 2) don’t drink water one hour before meals and one hour after meal…3) avoid oily, spicy, salty, junk, fast, fermented and stale foods…. 4) avoid coffee and tea…5) avoid late night sleeping habits …. 6) do anuloma viloma pranayam regularly early in the morning. A) eat 10 gm of HENBANE SEEDS along with 10 gm of jiggery after meals. B) take 60 ml of AUDUMBARAVLEHA along with 10 ml of honey early in the morning and at night before sleep. C) take 5gm of fine powder of NUTMEG along with AUDUMBARAVLEHA at night before sleep…. D) instill 3-4 drops of CHANDANADI TAILA in each nostril at the time of sleeping……Do all these things for 15 days. It gives you good result. Consult to me for further suggestions. THANKS.

This is common and even happened to me during my college days but I could remember many answers and could do well. Keep the hard work and keep faith that you would not forget when asked. Also take a cup of hot milk of cow's about three hours before dinner.

I have panic disorder since last 5 years and take medicines from 5 years. What should I do to not take the medicines. If I not take I suffocated internaly and my bp high at that time.

Panic disorder is curable completely. A course of medications for 4-6 months on sufficient dose along with psychotherapy for 2 months is indicated.

I have problem of vibrating my hands (sometimes other body parts also) during stress situation like (1) going on stage for any speech or performance (2) lifting heavy weight or doing gym. (3) facing job interview This problem is since my childhood. But since last few 2-3 years, it has increased to double than my childhood problem. Meditation is the best relaxant for the mind. But this means that you are under some stress.Stress can foil memory and concentration. The distraction it leads to will not allow focus on a particular topic or subject. So locate the stressor and deal with it soon to recover good memory. It will be easier to work with a counselor on the emotions that are causing the stress. Although concentration is different to memory, they can affect each other. In the meantime do some of the following: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night?s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, broccoli, blueberries, fish, coconut oil, wheat sprouts, tomatoes, sunflower seeds, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling.

Dear lybrate-user, all whatever you have mentioned are stressors of life. The stress can be eustress or distress. For many of your classmates these things are eustress to make the best of engineers. If it is distress for you, you need to undergo stress management technique from a clinical psychologist. Remember, it is not the stressor like academic pressure which causes distress in you. It is your bodily reaction to academic pressure which causes distress. Of course chronic distress causes not only diabetes but many other health effects. Try and manage your stresses better. All the best.

You should both go to a sexologist and talk about your problem. It is very likely that she is gone off of sex because of the medication and also because of menopause. It is however possible to get her interested again if you approached her reasonably by talking about your need. You can also start with gentle that is non-sexual and gradually make it more physical and touch only non-sexual areas. As she gets comfortable you can touch her erogenous zones and gently coax her into more of that kind of contact. If she is amenable she may allow more of it. If you do it right and excite her, she may change her attitude. If she is experiencing genital dryness, as is expected, she may not be favorable. In that case a visit to her gynecologist is advised for a topical application.
