What to do in asymptomatic gall stone disease?

If gallstones are detected incidentally, always go for surgery. As in diabetic patients, gallstones are not symptomatic. But it can cause complication in future. As stone can slip forward into common bile duct or it can cause pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas).

Hye. Swelling of the lip can be caused by an allergic reaction or trauma to the area. Once you identify the cause of your swollen lip, you can begin reducing the swelling through at-home treatment. If swelling is a result of a puncture wound to your lip, or if you experience other side effects of an infection, like fever, redness or pus drainage, contact your doctor right away. Step 1 medication will be recommended by your doctor if the swelling is the result of an allergic reaction. Step 2 eliminate or avoid any suspected allergens. Dairy, nuts and shellfish are common causes of food allergies. Observe for a repeated reaction. Step 3 clean any cuts on your lip that may cause swelling with water. Step 4 wrap crushed ice cubes inside of a strip of sterile gauze and apply to the swollen area for about 10 minutes each hour. Step 5 ask your doctor about medication to help reduce swelling and control pain.

Develop a liking for healthy and nutritious food, have two bananas and full cream milk for breakfast. Exercise regularly and be active, this will increase you appetite. Try to live a healthy and stress free life, stop worrying for petty issues. Sleep for 8 hours a day. Do not take stress, get your liver function test done.

I am 38 and in Nov 2016, diagnose diabetes. I met with a doctor and he advise me to have one tab. Of Gluconorm with homo 16 on daily basis. I used to have medicine on daily basis up to 15th March 2017. After that I have ignore to have the medicine. My sugar level detail are as follows: 27 Nov 2016: 226. 18 Dec. 2016: 167 10th Jan 2017: 140 12th Feb. 2017: 152 10th March 2017: 109 22nd April 2017: 138 26th May 2017: 140 I have started walking daily in the evening for 3 KM and Running 1.5 KM. Little bit exercise also. Decrease the intake of sugar in my daily routine life. Please suggest, if any specific medicine I need to have or without medicine its ok? Any other suggestion please to be healthy.

1. Your sugar levels have increased after you have stopped medicine. 2. 140 is still in Diabetic range though a little on lower side. 3. Reduction of sugar intake is not enough. You need to reduce all forms of simple carbs like white rice, white bread, colas etc. 4. You need to reduce oil intake. 5. Quantity of exercise has to go up and weight has to come down. 6. You need to constantly Chk your FBS and PPS levels. 7. If they reduce to levels below 115/150 only then you can be free of medicines.

Hi Madhav Excess fat deposit on tummy area is due to insulin and glucagon hormone imbalance. To lose tummy fat you should avoid starchy and sugary food exm. chapati, rice, bread, potato. U can use high protein diet exm. pannier, egg, chicken,. Take lipolyzer tummy tablet after lunch and dinner .

Dear lybrate-user, diabetes is a multi factorial disorder. That means that more than one factor is responsible for developing diabetes. Many people have history of diabetes in parents or siblings but not all of them develop diabetes. Genes when combine with mental stress, sedentary lifestyle, improper diet, smoking and alcohol addiction lead to diabetes. Now prevention of diabetes is by preventing each factor. Exercise regularly, meditate as and when possible, have balanced healthy diet and avoid smoking and alcohol! prevention is better as there's no cure for diabetes till date! hope this helps you!

YOu can drink it. You need to have diet plan based on your BMI & activities. Whatever we eat is metabolised by the body for the energy needed to do daily work and the excess is stored as fat. Abdomen is the first place to gain weight and last to disappear. In brief, Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 KMs and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as mush food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests. Opt for foods that are baked, broiled or steamed versus fried or swimming in creamy sauces. Avoid chips and bread baskets—they add unnecessary calories. •Stay hydrated. People often mistake thirst for hunger. •Eat breakfast. If you skip this meal, you'll be starving by lunchtime. You'll have more difficulty making healthy choices throughout the day. Hello Doctor. I am 29 years old and having a 11 months old baby. I gained too much of weight in pregnancy. Last month I was diagnosed with pcos and my doctor asked me too loose weight and also have prescribed me medicine like metformin hydrochloride sustained release tablet and elestra cyproterone acetate & ethinylestradiol tablets. Also caberlact tablet once a week as my prolactin is 77. For loosing weight I have joined gym .My current weight is 85 kg. The gym trainer Has advice me to take 1lemon juice after all d 3 meal but have asked to consult doctor before taking lemon juice as according to him lemon can have adverse effects on d medicine taken. Weight loss happens by continous diet management and regular exercise. Lemon juice is a healthy drink but it has no role to play in weight loss. It is just a myth like many others like Green Tea. Aloe Vera. Etc. For exercise follow 40: 10:10 formula for max weight loss. # 40 min Cardio # 10 mins Abs & Stretches # 10 mins Strength and Toning For Diet. Cut down all sugar stuff. Colas. Juices. Dear lybrate user with the limited amount of information provided it appears that you are concerned about your fathers diabetic status. It could had been better had you provided us with fasting sugars, hba1c status along with complete medication list for better understanding of his situation. He appears to be insulin deficient so will need that for now. Regular exercise, diet and medication as advised is the key to successful treatment of diabetes. Dear ur ideal weight is 48- 58 kg. U r obese so to decrease ur weight u have to maintain diet and have to do daily work out. Only exercise or Only diet control will not help. Excessive weight gain occurs only when calories intake are more than calories burnt, It can put a person at risk of thyroid disease, diabetes , kidney problems, arthritis etc... Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach daily. 3. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 4. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 5. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 5 min per asana. 6. Do brisk walk early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 7. Avoid oily and fried foods, processed foods, fatty foods like butter, purified butter, cheese, whole-milk yogurt, cream, chocolate, etc. 8. Replace refined flour with whole-wheat flour and rice with brown rice or parboiled rice. 9. Eat smaller meals frequently than heavy food. Avoid carbonated drinks and fatty foods. Drink plenty of liquids. Eat fresh food. Hope this helps u.
