Your BMI is 30.7. You have to persist with a low carbohydrate and low fat high protein diet. Stop all cereals, sugar, bakery products and desserts. Take the white of 4 boiled eggs and lots of fruits and green vegetables and salads. Go for an hour long walk every day. If you don't loose weight soon you will develop diabetes and high BP. You may need Bariatric Surgery to help you with sustained weight loss. For more details read the health tips I have written on this website OR send me a personal question.

1. Lunch salad of raw vegetables such as carrot, beet, cucumber, cabbage, tomatoes. In case you do not digest raw vegetables, either steam or boil them. Whole grain bread or whole wheat chapattis (indian recipe) and a glass of buttermilk. It will be good to add some roasted cumin seeds, green coriander leaves, a little salt and some grated ginger in the butter milk. 2. Mid afternoon coconut water or dry fruits or lemon tea or vegetable soup.

Variations in the upper limit of normal total serum IgE have been reported: they can range from 150 to 1,000 UI/ml; but the usually accepted upper limit is between 150 and 300 IU/ml. You know the causes for raised IgE and ALLERGEN exposure is the case where you can try for natural methods to reduce it. Try these step by step first try to find out the reason for the raised levels by taking doctor appointment. He will come to a conclusion looking at your symptoms and some tests. Now observe your body, your surroundings and the causes or triggers of your symptoms for some days. Trial and error method - now you have to eliminate some things like not taking a type of food or avoiding exposure to dust and like that, and see if your symptoms are gone. Always remember that there may be several allergens for you. GOOD LUCK.

Hello, Gaining weight is a slow process which requires patience and dedication! It not only depends upon the amount of food you consume daily, but also about eating Sensibly, depends upon your genes, your body's proper metabolism, assimilation and absorption, the levels of stress/ tension in your life, and any underlying medical condition you have! The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points (if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. Both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 3 months. Revert.

I am 28 years with diabetes and having insulin 4 times a day. Please sugest me a diat paln to reduse the insulin intake.

PGDD, RD, Bachelor of Home Science
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
For a diabetic it is best advised to have a diet planned as per the sugar levels, lifestyle and history. Though you can follow some guidelines - have small frequent meals. Do not fast for more than 2-3 hours. Avoid a very heavy meal at one time. Avoid fruit juices, aerated drinks or sugarcane juice, honey, jaggery or sugar. Fruits should be had as a mid meal. Avoid junk foods. Exercise and stay active. Do not attempt to try out too many remedies as you could go into hypoglycaemia. Sleep well. It's all a matter of discipline.

Hello lybrate-user here are few tips for weight gain. How to gain weight: increase protein intake never let your protein intake go lower than 1g/lb of body weight when you are aiming to add long-term muscle. It's the building block of muscle, and your body is going to be starving for it. How to gain weight: foods that help you gain weight whole eggs: it is economical and loaded with protein, vitamins a, d, e and good cholesterol. Butter: butter is linked with long term weight gain. Intake of butter should be in moderation, as regular consumption of butter is bad for your heart. Tuna: the vital fatty acids in tuna contain a host of healthy fats, which not only aid in weight gain but also help in maintaining physical well-being. Natural fruit juice: a healthy and nutritious way to gain some pounds, sip 100-per cent fruit juice that's full of sugar and added nutrients. Whole wheat bread: you can eat healthy and pack on pounds at the same time by eating whole wheat bread which accounts for approximately 69 calories per slice. How to gain weight: food rich in good calories peanut butter - spread - soft, salty peanut butter on bread. It gives you approximately 192 calories plus it is extra high in protein.
