Tips to lose weight faster: 1. Eat a high-protein breakfast. 2avoid sugary drinks and fruit juice. 3. Drink water a half hour before meals. 4. Choose weight loss-friendly foods (more vegetables and fruits) 5. Eat soluble fiber. 6. Eat mostly whole, unprocessed foods. 7. Eat your food slowly. 8. Sleep 7-8 hours 9. Please follow the following in respect to your queries: 1. Clean your face twice a day using lukewarm water to dissolve oil. 2. Avoid touching your face with your hands as this germs to your facial skin, making it to breakouts. 3. Ensure that you drink 10-12 glasses of water daily. 4. Avoid fried and spicy food. 5. Include fruits, raw vegetables and fresh vegetable juices in your diet. 6. Avoid harsh skin products. Dear mother suji and sagudana are good but for a two year old child this is inadequate. Besides these two give him food from family pot. That means whatever you all eat in breakfast and lunch and dinner should be given to the child also. For further query you can contact.

I am 70 yrs old and suffering parkinson's, beside this I am loosing my weight ie from 72 kg to 49 kg since last 10 yrs. please advise.

It is common in elderly people. Especially in parkinson's, since they eat less and are not able to exercise to maintain muscle bulk. If you have not lost > 10% of your original weight in past 6 months, then do not worry about it. Nothing much can be done. You can try as much exercise and physiotherapy as possible to maintain muscle bulk. If you have lost more than the above said amount, then you have to undergo detailed evaluation to identify whether any other illnesses are present.

You need to have diet plan based on your BMI & activities. Whatever we eat is metabolised by the body for the energy needed to do daily work and the excess is stored as fat. Abdomen is the first place to gain weight and last to disappear. In brief, Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 KMs and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as mush food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests. Hye. Thankyou for the query. Plastics are everywhere – in food containers and toys, in cosmetics packaging and household utensils. While some plastics are eco-friendly and may be safe while some contain harmful chemicals or cause dangerous pollution during manufacturing. It’s just about impossible to avoid plastics altogether, but you can look for plastics that are safer for you and the environment. So get to know the recycling codes imprinted on the underside of plastic products. Look for these numbers on the plastic container. Safer choices are coded 1, 2, 4 and 5. Avoid 3, 6 and most plastics labeled 7. You can speak to the service provider or alternatively give them a tiffin from your end rather than them sending food in the plastic container.

4 Ways Weight Training Can Damage Your Body

Weight training is a method of exercise where you use either your body weight or external weight to build strength and increase muscle size. The principle of weight training centers on eccentric and concentric movements of the skeletal muscles, thus stimulating them to grow. Usually the sets, reps and the tempo of the exercise are manipulated to concentrate on size, endurance or strength.

It is important to note that certain aspects of weight training are detrimental to your body. You need to be aware of these aspects so that you can maximize your strength gains.

Here are 4 ways that weight training may harm your body are: 

  1. Warm up: Warming up before working out is very essential, as it increases blood flow in the body. It loosens up your stiff joints and elevates your heart rate. You may do basic cardio exercises, such as jumping jacks and bodyweight squats as your warm up regime.
  2. Don't push yourself too hard: Don't over exert yourself in your workouts, listen to your body and stop when you feel that you can't go on anymore. It increases the likelihood of you being injured and thus is detrimental to your health.You may try to lift heavier weights compromising on form or posture, which can lead to various muscle tears or strains.
  3. Stretch after your workout: It is very important that you stretch after your weight training workout. It aids in muscle recovery after a heavy workout and also makes the joints more mobile and flexible. Stretching also allows the tensed muscles to relax and improves posture. Lack of stretching increases chances of injuring your muscles and may put a damper on your weight training muscles.
  4. Injuries: Injuries such as pulling a muscle or injuring your joints are very common if you lift weights. It is of utmost importance that you follow proper form while working out. An example of this would be when you don't keep your spine straight while squatting, thus resulting in a slipped disc injury.

Hi, as you have mentioned that she is having dry skin. Please inform is there any specific season when she feel your skin is more dry. To start with coconut oil is best remedy for dry skin to be applied after taking bath. It is safe for long term use.
