Wearing proper footwear that minimizes compression of the forefoot can help to prevent the development of and aggravation of a Morton's neuroma. Orthotics and corticosteroid injections are widely used conservative treatments for Morton’s neuroma. In addition to traditional orthotic arch supports, a small foam or fabric pad may be positioned under the space between the two affected metatarsals, immediately behind the bone ends. This pad helps to splay the metatarsal bones and create more space for the nerve so as to relieve pressure and irritation. It may however also elicit mild uncomfortable sensations of its own, such as the feeling of having an awkward object under one's foot. Corticosteroid injections can relieve inflammation in some patients and help to end the symptoms. For some patients, however, the inflammation and pain recur after some weeks or months, and corticosteroids can only be used a limited number of times because they cause progressive degeneration of ligamentous and tendinous tissues And consult orthopedic.

I am 56 yrs old retired govt servant. I am suffering from diabetes since last 4 yrs. At present my fasting blood sugar level is 125. And pp 265. And a1c is 6.7%. From the last 4 months i feel very tired , pain under the deltoid region while sleeping . Legs feels numb. My TFT results are normal. Pls give me an advice.

MBBS
General Physician, Guwahati
As your PP is high. If you are not taking any medications then its the time to start medications. Better to start with oral hypoglycemic agents. (OHA). These body pain and tiredness may be due to diabetes. Can start with METFORMIN 500mg once a day in between breakfast and see the result after 2 weeks. If it is improved then continue. There are side effects also. If you feel gastric trouble then consult again.

I'm epilepsy patient my Dr. said after delivery I vl allri8, is dis truth. Nd this disorder is dangours for me? Life ka khtra hai? Pls explain.

MBBS, MD, DM - Neurology
Neurologist, Chennai
If you have been diagnosed with epilepsy before your pregnancy itself, it is possible to control your epilepsy with proper medications so that you do not get any fits (which may pose danger to both of you). However there is a small possibility of your child developing few problems either due to your epilepsy or your medications. It will be monitored with regular scans and blood tests if needed by your obstetrician. Have a frank talk with your obstetrician and neurologist. Please do not stop your epilepsy medications without consulting your doctor.

I am unable to write with my hand from 3 months. If I try to write now it start shaking. Is there any solution for this problem.

MD - Psychiatry, MBBS
Psychiatrist, Patna
The problem is of recent onset. At this age neuronal disease is unlikely. Hence it may be anxiety or substance use. Stop alcohol if you are abusing. If you have other features of anxiety like dry mouth and throat, excessive sweating, fast heart beat, difficulty breathing, dizziness along with inability to relax and excessive worries then consult a psychiatrist. Mri brain will be helpful to rule out any underlying pathology in brain. Treatment is possible and you will be alright. All the best.
