Jogging and gym is not the solution to increase your weight. Take banana shake daily. Also take 10 soaked almonds on the morning grind it with 40 gram butter and sugar. Apply it on chappati or bread eat it with milk daily fir two to three months.

My father has problem while walking. They have no strength in his joints. All reports are normal. Doctors didn't say anything. The just normally gives medicine. He falls down while walking. What may be the reason.

Patient may have some leg muscle weakness due to low back problem or general age related weakness. Also there might be ataxia. Consult a physio for better examination.

You need not go to the gym but you must keep active and try to indulge in physical activities like walks swimming dance yoga or football basketball etc. At least thrice a week try to maintain it. There is no way you can avoid it because your sedentary lifestyle demands that you indulge in some sort of exercise.

Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy eggs nuts fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. Even if you were to take medicines or supplements. They will not work in isolation. You have to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal.

Gaining weight is as difficult as losing it, if you are naturally thin. Skinny people complain that they can't put on any weight.If you want to build up weight, don't just eat high-calorie junk foods and rely on unnecessary supplements. Choose foods that are energy-dense and nutrient-dense whenever possible. Following are some tips to follow to increase your weight. You will take some time to gain the weight you need, but be patient. 1. If you have a rapid metabolism, then you must increase your daily intake of healthy foods (increase your intake of carbohydrates) to compensate for the rate at which you burn energy. Eat six smaller meals a day You should also eat more energy dense foods like healthy oils, dry fruits, seeds, nuts, pulses, etc. along with some starchy foods like potatoes, cereals, bread, pasta, rice, etc. 2. Consume more calories than you burn. Choose healthy calorie-dense food to add calories. Drink healthy beverages to add calories. Mangoes are rich in calories and carbohydrates, include them in your diet. 3. Eat healthy food frequently, 5-6 times a day - 3 larger meals and 3 smaller meals alternately. Separate them by at least 3 hours so you can digest each meal fully. Don't go without food for 5-6 hours after having a major meal. For example, if you wish to consume 3000 calories a day, you may eat 3 larger meals of about 650 calories and 3 smaller meals of about 450 calories. 4. Have a balanced diet. 5. Exercise regularly for putting on weight. Some thin people think that exercise is not good for them. This is not true, it keeps the metabolism high. Remember that eating alone is not sufficient. You don't want to gain fat but lean mass, so exercise is important. Resistance training exercises will help to increase your muscle mass, which in turn will increase metabolism. Learn to distinguish between weight gaining exercises and weight loss exercises. Note that if you do not get enough amino acids during exercise, the existing muscle may break down. Amino acids come from protein foods so you should eat such foods after exercise. Keep in mind that excessive exercise without putting back the energy you have used will not help you to put on weight.

Dear lybrate user, she may take alfafa tonic thrice a day for one month with cal. Phos 12 x four tablets in the morning and bat. Mur four tablets in the evening and banana shake in morning grapes juice before lunch and date milk at night, butter sugar paste atleast 40 grams daily for a month.

Take high calorie and high protein diet do excercise or walk regularly. Don't skip brkfst. With brkfst take 1 glass of milk n add 2 badam n 2 anjeer.

Some new studies have shown that eating while you are walking can cause weight gain. The findings have said that while walking you tend to consume more food than when you are stagnant. However, not only walking but also while conversing with others or watching television increases your urge to consume more food.

The reasons for which you may consume more food while walking are:

  1. If you sometimes eat on the go then you can consume more food later in the day. Because while eating we did not concentrate how much of amount we consumed.
  2. One more reason of consuming much food can be that walking is one powerful distraction. As you do not completely concentrate on your food it falls into mindless eating.
  3. Concentrating on your food is a significant part of enjoying your food and managing weight gain.
  4. When you sit down and eat, you tend to focus on how much food you are taking in one bite, and chew properly. Nevertheless, when walking and eating none of these happens.
  5. When you walk and eat, you do not pay attention to what you are eating. While on the go you just grab whatever food satiates your hunger and this leads to weight gain later.

There are also some simple steps to avoid over eating. They are:

  1. Sit on a table and eat slowly.
  2. Chew your food properly.
  3. You should stop eating when you first start feeling that you are full.
  4. Try to eat as many vegetables as you can and try to avoid junk foods.

Weight gain and obesity is also associated with our mind. When we start consuming food, our brain takes at least 20 minutes to connect to our stomach. So, eating slowly is a much needed for avoiding weight gain.

1. For increasing weight ...First we have to work on ur digestive system..It will do Aam pachan and will increase ur digestive power and appetite.... 2. Mix 1 teaspoon each of cinnamon, ginger and cumin powder with honey to make a paste. Take 1 teaspoon 3 times a day.. 3. Take small meals 4-5 times a day.. 4. Eat healthy n light food .. 5. Sir one of my esrd patient showing positive result for anti-hcv test for last 3 months. A test hcv-rna quantitive was performed 3 months back when he was first diagnosed anti hcv positive but hcv-rna is negative. What are the further suggestions for the patient? should I start doing hemodialysis on positive machines or should I wait till hcv-rna is positive. Hi anti-hcv can be falsely positive. If hcv rna is negative then he is not infected with hepatitis c. So dialyse him on normal machines (non positive machines). You can repeat hcv rna qualitative after 6 months one more time and if that is also negative then no need to do again. Treatment has to be started if patient is hcv rna positive.

Hye. You can join gym. Just remember because you join gym you don't have to jump into dumbells and weights. Gym is a place of exercise so just move into an exercise routine gradually. Jumping into heavy weights the moment you join gym will only cause stunted growth and injury. Joining gym does not mean weights, dumbells, protein supplements and abs. So, if you go slow gradual, with right technique and good instructions and a right diet, you can do fine.
