From past 6 months I was doing shirsasna (yoga) due to hair fall problem, but now to to this yoga my eye muscles has been weaker, now I have stopped shirsasna yoga, but my eye muscles not being recovering, what should I do, please help me.

I think you have got both the issues wrong. Shirshasan does not promote hair growth, neither does it reduce the effectiveness of eyes. All these are myths. Yoga promotes general well being, where as hair growth is effected by a number of factors like heredity, diet, exercise etc. Please visit an eye doctor and get your eyes checked. Eat proper diet and exercise properly. No exercise can do miracles, however sustained practice of Yoga / any exercise will keep you fit and healthy.

Follow these best methods to easily gain weight and get a healthy body - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly for proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. You should take high calorie food that increase your muscle mass and induce growth in bones. Exercise. For 45 minutes daily. Have almonds, raisins and dates - soak them overnight and have it in the morning followed by a glass of warm milk. Apart from that you need to have lot of proteins - pulses, sprouts, eggs and milk.

Customised diet chart can be recommended based on height, weight, activity factor, medical history (if any) & other factors. Here is generic diet plan which you can follow: On waking-up: Glass of milk with handful of mixed dry fruits Breakfast: 3 Egg whites/Paneer with one bowl of corn flakes + Milk Mid Morning: 1 cup of Yoghurt + 1 Banana Lunch: 3 Chapatis + 1Bowl of Daal + 1 bowl of salad + 1 bowl vegetable curry + 2 small groundnut chikkis 3 PM: 1 bowl of sprouts 5 PM: Avocado milk shake – 200 ml Dinner: 3 Chapatis + Egg Curry + Beet root Salad Post Dinner: 1 glass milk.

Tiredness can be due to low haemoglobin level because of prolonged period , improve your iron and haemoglobin , To improve iron levels , "Please consider taking multivitamin cap "BECOZINC" which contains nutrients.You may take BECOZINC one capsule a day after a good breakfast for a week, then one capsule every alternate day for 14 days. ( Total three weeks ) Take foods rich in iron. For example, 1) Green leafy vegetables like Spinach (paalak ) , Cabbage (pata gobi) , Broccoli and others. 2) Dates (Khajoor) containing seeds and of dark brown color and soft texture. Not artificially processed. Mango is a mouth-watering juicy fruit rich in vitamins and minerals. But eating mangoes alone will not help. You need to consume them along with milk. You can also prepare mango milkshake and drink it two times daily for a month.

Follow the following tips:- · Pay attention to your health and food intake. · To increase your appetite, have a glass of lime water or 1 cardamom (elaichi) before your meal.  · Have minimum 4 meals in a day. · Drink 1 glass of milk twice a day. · Try to enjoy your meals and gradually increase the quantity you eat every time. · A balance diet should have all essential nutrients in it. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It should include combination of Both Carbohydrates and Proteins for e.g. Oats with Milk or Poha/ Upma with a glass of milk. If you do not like milk have 1-2 egg whites in the morning along with your breakfast. · You need to focus on your protein intake : Increase your protein intake e.g. milk, dairy products- cheese, paneer, lentils (dals), nuts ( soya, peanuts, dry fruits ), pulses e.g. rajma, chole, kidney beans etc. sprouts. If you are a non-vegetarian, then you can have proteins by also eating eggs, chicken, fish. Make sure you are including at least 2 serving of any of these in your daily meal. · Lunch and dinner again should be a combination of Proteins, Carbohydrates and Fats which could have dal, roti, sabji/chicken, salad.  · Please do have minimum 4 almonds or a small bowl of peanuts every day. · Please ensure that you drink at least 3 litres of water every day.

To gain weight you should eat more calories than you burn. Plus not only you have to eat calorie dense food but you have to keep in mind that what you are eating is healthy too. In the process of weight gain you do not want to put weight in an uneven manner and look unhealthy rather than looking bright and healthy. 1. Start with changing your lifestly. Start working out if you are not active. The biggest myth that prevails now a days is that thin people do not need to work out. This is wrong. When you challenge your body, it is forced to grow. But this growth can only be possible if you are eating enough food to let the body absorb and grow in size and muscles. 2. Eat Healthy – Stop drinking and smoking too much if you are indulged in it. Limit your intake of junk food, pepsi, sugary stuff etc. Do not at all starve yourself. Make it a habit to eat something healthy every 3 hours. This means you have to eat 6 small meals in a day. Your Daily food intake should ideally consist of – a. Have plenty of nuts, dry fuits and seeds. Almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, figs, dates and raisins. They are full of healthy fats needed by a human body. B. Good amount of fruits and vegetables – Bananas, apples, pomegranate, green leafy vegetables. Fruits and vegetables helps in absorption of food in the body and together, completes your daily nutrition need. C. If you are a non- vegetarian - Eat eggs, chicken etc. D. Eat whole grains – Try to have multi grains spread throughout the day. Wheat, brown rice, oats, bajra, daliya etc should be taken in multiple meals in a day. E. Eat Sprouts – Chana and moong which are full of protein and nutrients. F. You can supplement your diet with good quality multi-vitamin capsules. If you are lacking in protein, you can buy a high quality whey protein and have it with banana shake twice a day. G. You can take natural food items like wheat grass which is full of essential nutrients which helps in weight gain. Try to be patient while you are on the process of weight gain. Results take time to show. Just follow this regimen and you will soon start seeing the results.

1 egg provides about 7 g protein. It can be had in various preparation forms but deep frying should be avoided on a frequent basis due to the high amount of oil involved. Other good quality protein sources are- milk, curd, lassi, buttermilk, chenna, whey water, fish, chicken. Soyabean, nutrella, tofu, sprouts, nuts, oilseeds, cereal-pulse combinations (atta-besan chila/rice khichri/dalia moong dal khichri/pongal/ dosa) should also be included.

My son is 7 years old. But he eats very less and shows tantrums on forcing him to eat. We're always worried about this. He's also very weak and short as compared to kids of his age. In my experience small quanity highly calorie dense stuff like kheer, eggs, soya based food even soya milk are good to provide more calories. Market made dew protein rich powders are also available and works for whose happy to have milk but not rest of food. Few hunger stimulators time being can be prescribed and you may rule out a condition known as" gerd. Chornic cause of gastritis.

Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. Hello everyone. I am Dr Manoj Gupta. I am a consultant Liver transplant surgeon and a Gastroenterologist. Today I am here to discuss things about Liver Transplantation.

What is Liver Transplantation?

Liver transplantation is an operation in which a diseased liver is removed and replaced with the healthy liver from a donor.

Who needs a Liver Transplantation?

It is a life saving treatment for the patients with liver failure. A condition liver is not able to sustain according to body needs. A patient with either acute liver failure or chronic liver failure will get benefit from the transplant.

What is living donor Liver transplant?

If a living person donate the liver, it is called living donor liver transpant. A living donor can be a family member or a closed relative of the patient.

  • A living donor should have complatible blood group.
  • Donor must be from the family like 1st, 2nd or 3rd degree family relative.
  • Donor should be between 18-50 years.
  • Donor should not be over weight.
  • Donor should have healthy physical and mental health.
  • Donor liver should be large enough to provide adequate liver volume to the recepient and that too is accessed with multiple tests.

Is it safe for the living person to donate the part of a liver?

Yes, liver donation operation has a very small risk because liver is an only oragn which is being reserved. Even 25% of the liver can provide sufficient function to the donor. At the end of operation, only 30% of liver is left behind withb the donor. So, it is an only organ which regnerate. It is having capacity to regenerate back to its normal life. Normal size liver regenerate upto 90% within 2-3 months after operation.

What is success rate of Liver Transplant?

Success rate are usually more than 95% if a patient is in healthy state.

Life after Liver Transplant?

Recepient lives the normal productive life. He is capable of working and supporting family with the help of lifelong medication.

Life after Liver Donation?

Liver donor lives a normal life. Quality of life is not affected by Liver Donation. Few donors have returned to the army as well after donating their liver and ladies have given birth to children even after liver donation.
