My mom had suffered from jaundice, She had been admitted to the hospital from 3 to 15 of April, Now, She improved, But still. The ppl are saying dat you need to control your diet for few months at least, Not to eat oil, Turmeric nd all, Only has to depend on liquids and curd rice, Even doctor had advised to control the diet for few days; So what she can eat, She is fed up of eating curd rice, She feels hungry very often but when she is unable to eat as her stomach becomes heavy after eating 3-4 spoons of DAL & SPICY FOOD What according to should be the diet in jaundice? Till how many days/months she need to stay away from oily & Spicy food?; Which food she can intake now? Moreover, She is 42 years of age having no diabetes, No blood pressure nd no other serious problems, But she is having 1 stone in each kidney Pls satisfy with your valuable answer.

Liver is the main chemical laboratory of our body to detoxify any metabolites generated. We do not want to tax liver as she had hepatitis. Avoid chuttenys. Uncooked, stale food. She can have chapati with boiled or less oily vegetables. Totally fried food to be avoided atleast for few weeks. Her enzymes *& bilirubin to be monitor. Rest is the best medicine. Once the liver function test comes to normal, she can gradually start activities & same applies to food.

Thyroid is a butterfly shaped organ which is located in the neck region and produces thyroid hormones. Thyroid hormones have far implicating effects on our body and regulate our bmr ie basal metabolic rate. It is simply stated as the energy required to carry on the basal or basic functioning of the body. For eg our body requires energy for digestion and for digestion our intestines have to undergo peristalsis which is the movement of intestines to absorb nutrients from intestines. This energy is regulated by thyroid. So an important symptom of thyriod dysfuction is related to this basal function. If your thyroid underperforms ie hypo thyroidism then you are constipated but if it overperforms ie hyper thyroid then you get frequent loose stools. This explains the effect on only one aspect of body functions but thyroid has multiple effects in multitude of ways on our body. The trick is to just keep it right. Neither hyper nor hypo. Your reports points you are hypothyroid. But you need another test called anti tpo to confirm this. Your hair fall is linked to hypothyroidism. Hope this helps.

Hello, I am giving you general tips for Diarrhoea/Loose motion 1. Avoid food from outside 2. Lot of fluid to be taken 3. Hello lybrate-user- weight loss can be easily achieved by following some ayurvedic rules- a) go to bed before 10 pm and wake up early morning if you want to study. B) avoid fast foods and foods which are processed in nature. C) practice kapalbhati pranayam in the morning. D) have foods which have more fibre content. E) take evening meals before 7 pm and try not to take milk while going to bed. F) drink water before meals as it will decrease your food urge and will reduce your weight.

Explain to her that it will improve her walk & her confidence. Tell her that a fall at this age may cause fracture, specially of the hip which requires major surgery. If still not convinced, meet an orthopaedic surgeon.

Hello you need to understand the concept of weight loss. It's a gradual process that requires cut down in calories under the guidance of a dietitian and regular exercise. Don't skip breakfast. Sleep for 7-9 hours per night. Avoid fried foods, sweets, carbonated drinks and processed foods. Include whole grains, sprouts, seasonal fruits and vegetables, salad vegetables like cucumber, kakri, onion, tomato etc. Include green tea 4-5 times a day. Drink plenty of water. Take 3 main meals and 2 side meals. Take flaxseed powder 1 tsp with lukewarm water on empty stomach. Thank you.

You've probably read about kegel exercises a million times before. Perhaps you even clench and release your pelvic floor muscles each time you come across an article like this one. But if you haven't made them a daily habit yet, and aren't sure whether or not you need to--here's some help.

1. They can keep incontinence at bay
As you grow older, your pelvic floor muscles--responsible for giving you control over your bladder and bowels--get weaker. Which means every time you sneeze or laugh or cough on a full bladder, chances are a little urine will leak out. Doing kegel exercises can strengthen these muscles, and make sure you are always in control.

2. They can help your body cope with childbirth
Pregnancy can wreak havoc on your body--especially the pelvic floor muscles, making incontinence a reality much before age catches up. Moreover, many women also complain of lessened sexual arousal after childbirth. Enter: kegels. Practice them before and after you give birth to keep incontinence at bay and well. Enjoy sex much like before.

3. They can give you stronger orgasms
Did you know: kegels can help you get a better grip on your partner's member during intercourse? they can also help you achieve coveted multiple orgasmsm, and tone those much-needed vaginal muscles.

How do I know I am doing them right?
Clenching is not the problem; finding the right muscle to clench, however, is.

So, begin by identifying the muscles in question. The next time you're on the pot, try to stop urinating mid-way. Those muscles that helped you do just that are the ones to work on. (keep in mind that kegels should be done on an empty bladder, and that stopping the urine flow too often can lead to urinary tract infections.)

Now, lie on your back on the floor, knees bent--legs hip-width apart--and flex the muscles for 3 to 5 second, and release them for 3 to 5 seconds. Do 3 reps of 10 seconds each day. Once you're comfortable and confident, you can practice the kegel exercise while sitting at your desk or standing in the metro train.

Hello, Keep your bowel clean before menses. Eat a rich fibrous diet. Apply castor oil in a circular massaging manner around umblicus before menses. Start using Dashmularistha ten days prior to menses.

Bleeding from gums is due to infection in gums know as gingivitis with plaque deposition. Scaling will help you to get rid of this problem. Use chlorhexidine mouthwash three times a day after each meal. Brush softly.

Hello lybrate user- Ayurvedic concept of PCOD (poly cystic ovarian disease) is somewhat different than modern concept, it generally occurs due to irregular food and daily habits done specially at the time of menstrual bleeding period. . Symptoms include irregular menses, unwanted hair growth, weight gain etc. I can assure you that ayurvedic treatment can permanently dissolve your cyst and can regularize your menses even after medicine withdrawal. Some useful tips for PCOD- a) Avoid salty and spicy foods, avoid fast foods, green leafy vegetable and curd. B) Go to bed before 10 pm. C) Increase dairy product other than curd in your diet specially cow's ghee. E)Avoid the use of pain killers during menses.

Dark circles are because of lack of nutrients....sleep and weakness...ao take proper nutrients and drink plenty of juices and sleep for atleast 7 hours a day...drink 7-8 glasses of water every day

Dear lybtateuser, - There is a ECG change which the report mentions as an early change, it may not be very significant unless you have signs & symptoms of any heart problem - you have to reduce your weight by dieting & regular exercise - have more of fruits & vegetables that is more of fibre containing foods, spinach, beans, legumes, nuts - avoid fried, processed, sugary, salty foods - do aerobic exercise like brisk walking, jogging, swimming for 30-40 min, do moderate weight lifting to boost your metabolism, try to include yoga, meditation & deep breathing for 10-15 min daily in the morning - monitor your BP, blood sugar, cholesterol, thyroid hormone level & weight regularly destress yourself by proper sleep for 7-8 hrs at night, reading, listening to music, follow a hobby.

Hello, Take 1 cup of green tea in the evening daily. Do Surya Namaskar , yoga asans like Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand Pose),Vajrasana (Diamond Pose), Pavanamuktasana (Wind-Relieving Pose), Matsyasana (Fish Pose) Avoid sweets, oily, spicy, junk food, chocolates.
