there is no painless vaccine at the movement in India unless someone has done stocks of such . data narrates a bit of lower efficacy in compression with non painless (DTwP) vaccine.

My baby is 4 months old. My baby is sleeping at night times. But he is waking up 4 to 5 times. So that I am not sleeping much. Due to that I am feeling sleepy in the afternoon. But my mother-in-law is saying that if you sleep you will get headache in future which cannot be cured. But I can't stop myself without sleeping. Is sleeping in the afternoon really causes any affects.

No what your MIL says is old and baseless belief. It is normal for babies to wake up in between and trouble their mothers. It is part of motherhood! You can take rest/sleep when you are tired in afternoon.

Hello doctor. My daughter will complete one year on 20th june and her weight is 8 kg. She is having fever since yesterday, I gave her crocin but fever is not getting down. Can I give calpol to her? how much in dose and how many times in a day? can I give crocin in between?

Hello doctor. My daughter will complete one year on 20th june and her weight is 8 kg. She is having fever since yeste...
Crocin and calpol are same drug, paracetamol fever is not coming down possibly there is an infection. If it is viral, it will come down within 3-4 days with regular calpol/crocin 10-15 mg/kg dose every four hours. If it is bacterial infection you will need to give antibiotic, it is okay and usually antibiotic is given prophylactically, to cover secondary bacterial infection that may set in during a viral infection. You can check her cbc and tft (as weight is just below expected), you inform me.

My daughter age is 6 years old but she do wet bed in night during sleeping. So please advise treatment.

Diploma in Child Health (DCH), MBBS
Pediatrician, Akola
Normal bladder control develops only after 6 years of age. So don't worry for now. - avoid sweet drinks or food or frequent water intake after 6 in the evening. -before going to bed and after 1-2 hours of sleep she should empty the bladder - don't scold child for wetting the bed. - bed wetting is seen in children having some fear. So always treat them with love. - if wetted, change the bed sheet without her knowledge. It will build her confidence which will help her to get rid of the problem. -get her blood tested for sugar and do her urine test also. Do not please panic, most of the times it comes normal.

What are The Signs And Symptoms Of Genital Tract Infection In Men And Women?

Disregarding genital tract infections and issues including the symptoms of the same can lead to problems when it comes to fertility. It may also cause problems in your sexual life. Genital problems can also lead to infertility. These days, infertility is a noteworthy and very important occurrence that plagues many couples.

Common Infections: A large portion of these genital tract diseases occurs because of infections. Salpingitis happens in close to 15% of ladies in their reproductive age and 2.5% of all ladies get to be infertile as an aftereffect of salpingitis by age 35. Many times, symptoms of conditions and STDs like Chlamydia trachomatis are usually nonexistent. The real rate of ladies with upper genital tract infections is presumably underestimated.

Infection and Infertility: Infectious agents can hinder different vital human functions, including reproduction. Bacteria, fungi, infections and viruses can meddle with the reproductive capacity in both genders. Diseases of male genito-urinary tract represent around 15% of the instance of male infertility. Diseases can influence distinctive areas of the male regenerative tract, for example, the testis, epididymis and male sex organs and glands. Urogenital diseases at various levels of their advancement, development and transport can affect the sperms themselves in this manner. Among the most widely recognized microorganisms required for sexually transmitted diseases, meddling with male fertility are Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhea.

Symptoms: If the following symptoms of a genital tract infection are ignored, it can definitely lead to the person being infertile in some stage of life or immediately. These are as follows:

The signs and symptoms in males are

  1. Changes in the way you discharge
  2. Bleeding while urinating or discharge
  3. Thick white, yellow or green release from the tip of the penis along with pain in urethra or pain while urinating
  4. A hard but painless sore on the penis along with swelling of the lymph hubs in the crotch
  5. Pain or uneasiness while urinating or discharge from the urethra
  6. Difficult or irritated red spots and small blisters on the penis
  7. Chestnut bits on the hair around the penis
  8. Gentle delicacy around one of the testicles
  9. Delicate swelling in the scrotum on one or both sides
  10. Extreme pain after injury to your penis

The signs and symptoms in women are as follows:

  1. Irregular vaginal discharge with a pungent smell
  2. Burning sensation while urinating
  3. Tingling or itching in the outer area of vagina
  4. Uneasiness and pain during sex
  5. Sore vagina
  6. Foamy greenish-yellow discharge with a foul smell
  7. Light bleeding after intercourse
  8. Warts in the vagina

Regular check-ups and visits to the gynecologist are very essential. One should always keep the partner updated about their sexual health problems to practice a healthy and honest relationship and to avoid further contagious infections from occurring.

But he does stand up holding sofa, chair n also walks holding them. A few doc said its OK up to 18 months. So should we wait for few months or see a physio? There is something wrong in feeding technique cz there is 1 kg loss. Normally term babies lose around 5 to 10 pc max weight in first 7 days and regain their birth weight around on 10th day. After that weight gain starts. But 1 kg loss is significant. please show your baby to a paediatrician.
