Mother's milk is best for babys bt you can feed your baby with formula feed i. E, lactogen1. Prepare one spoon powder in 30ml of water and feed every 2 hrly or as required.

My Niece got admitted in a hospital for Dehydration 2 Days ago she is 2 years old and 10.8 kg weight , The Iv till now used is approx 4 bottles with some medicine antibiotics . Doctor is saying to keep another 2 days . My query is it normal these many bottle of Iv is used for a small kid .i am bit confused.

Diploma in Child Health (DCH), MBBS
Pediatrician, Hyderabad
They might have used all these iv fluids depending on the dehydration status and calculated on the basis of weight and age of the child. You need not worry they will take care and it is their responsibility. They might have told to keep for two more days for total cure/observation so that gastroenteritis won't recurr.

My question is about my daughter, now she is 3 year 3 month old, yesterday she was good but by evening suddenly she suffer from fever & her body temperature increase up to 104.6 F in just half an hour. After giving medicine paracetamol (crocin) & bath with cold water. Her temperature decrease up to 99 to 100F in 3 /4 hour times. Now she is fine. I want to know the reason for such fever which come suddenly with high temperature to normal kids.

Diploma in Child Health (DCH), F.I.A.M.S. (Pediatrics)
Pediatrician, Muzaffarnagar
It is not clear whether temp remained 99 to 100 or it has come to normal and for how long it remained normal. Watch now how long hours/ days temp remains normal. There are many resons for fever which is beyond the scope over here to mention.

I have a girl baby 3yrs old. Recently I find out she is having abnormal heart beat like 120 times/minute. What should I do?

Increased heart beating occurs due to many reasons like fever, anxiety, exercise, anemia etc. It need not be a heart problem.

They are hyperactive. Try to involve them in games. Let them apply energy in some kind of games. Divert them in the beginning. Check them for spitting.

My baby 4 days old, and as per child doctor his CRB counts is 22ooo so doctor told baby is blood infected, so please suggest me what we do because last 3 days my baby admitted in NICU. Please guide us because doctor did not told me what is CRB. Please guide me.

C.S.C, D.C.H, M.B.B.S
General Physician,
A C-reactive protein (CRP) test is a blood test that measures the amount of a protein called C-reactive protein in your blood. C-reactive protein measures general levels of inflammation in your body. High levels of CRP are caused by infections and many long-term diseases. But a CRP test cannot show where the inflammation is located or what is causing it. Other tests are needed to find the cause and location of the inflammation.. baby will need antibiotics and supportive treatment and as he is in NICU , you need not worry

Pregnancy can be possible at the time of lucoria? It can be safe for child and mother?

Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, MBBS, MD - Community Medicine
Gynaecologist, Lucknow
Hello, lecorrhoea does not prevent pregnancy. However both the partners should be treated for the problem. Treatment is simple and doesn't take much time. It will not cause any harm to mother and child if non infective.
